Shop there often for convenience, restroom, hot popcorn. Prices can be high like most places nowadays but they carry everyday necessities while clothes, purses, etc.are expensive. They no longer carry a brand of cat food we liked months ago so we buy that elsewhere. Like other stores they have few open check out lanes but instead a lot of au tomated cash rehisters having to do their work for them without getting compensation, acknowledgement or thanks. Many items are under lock and key necessitating having to spend extra time waiting for someone to open cases. Today I asked an employee walking past to open a case but was told to keep waiting for someone else who would be coming. Service overall does not encourage repeat shopping or engender positive feelings while the store has many signs telling customers they are having a great shopping experience!

Former Target super-fan no longer shopping at Target. It's like they don't want customers in the store anymore. Badly stocked shelves, a few (clearly frustrated and angry) statf, and everything locked behind a cabinet. The new security system means waiting around 5-15 minutes to get a tube of toothpaste. The buzzer has never resulted in a staff member coming with a key. In five tries, had to go track someone down. On one occasion, the clearly frustrated staff person's - just start ordering online. Okay, I will. Back to Amazon. I'm eager to see how these anti-customer policies impact your bottom line. There is no way this "treatment" is not way worse than your shrinkage problems.

Whoever was working the self checkout tonight HORRIBLE & should be FIRED… the audacity to go through a 7 month pregnant woman’s cart is uncalled for. I paid for my items and work hard for my money what gives you the right to think you can just go through my cart? ! And then when I went to go talk to the manager he basically told me there’s nothing he can do about his team members attitude this is ridiculous! NEVER AGAIN WILL I SHOP AT THIS TARGET! Safe yourself a trip and do not shop here!

Used to be a reasonably convenient and affordable store, but recently they've been chronically out of basic items, limited self-checkout to 10 items or less, and locked many items up that require an employee to access, which typically takes five minutes or longer (per item). It has turned into a pretty frustrating experience, and there are better options now.

Merchandise was stolen from my cart while I was shopping. The woman that had my cart threatened me with a knife so I left the remaining merchandise and departed the store. Will never return to this store. Store security told her to leave but didn't seem to care otherwise.

Terrible. Compared to the Texas targets, this one has no variety or quantity. I wouldn't go again

This location has a serious security problem. Yesterday I went to this store and police were in the bathroom trying to remove someone who had overdosed. This happened October 7 2023 in the afternoon at around 2pm. Looks like the junkies have migrated from the side of the building to the inside now. Security here is utterly useless. This location is not safe.

Online shopping is so convenient. The icing on the cake is pick up with limited interaction This was a perfect match for me. I am mobility disabled and it was brought right to my car!

Used to shop here all the time but unless they put people in the areas where they have locked up all the products, I won’t be. Who can stand around waiting 10-15 minutes for someone to show up to unlock a cabinet just to go to the next section and have to do it again? I understand theft deterrents, but they have now made it impossible to shop. You need staff present to unlock the cabinets! I left without 3 things I came for because no one showed up

I think the news is true, TARGET is going through a very difficult time, store neglected, dirty, very poorly stocked, it was not a pleasant experience

Don't bother creating a baby registry at Target. Not only is everything more expensive than, say, Amazon (or anywhere else for that matter) they advertise giving you a free Welcome Gift which they literally never have in stock. I have inquired over 20 times at my local Target over the past 7 months and they have never had any. Every time the associate tells me that they don't know when they'll get any more in and that they arrive randomly. I've even tried 3 other Target locations and one of them said they haven't recieved any in over a year. I love their cop out of saying "pending store availability" when in actuality it's just poor customer service. If you advertise something, you deliver on it. Seriously, you're way better off to register at Amazon; they offer a much wider selection, better prices, their registry customer service is awesome, and they actually mail you your Welcome Gift.

Disappointed I only had a choice of One pair of shorts. And I thought they were overpriced for the end of September.

I love this Target! There are so many amazing items and reasonable prices. The employees are fabulous, especially Dorothy! She was super sweet!

Reading through these other reviews, can definitely confirm the homeless population outside is totally out of control. In Feb 2020 I got jumped by two goons outside this location, they weren't after me thank God just my groceries. Came back with my receipt the next day and got a full refund, thank you Target. But still, situation could have been way worse

It's not a good business model to punish your legitimate customers due to the actions of illegitimate customers; yet, that is exactly what Target is doing at this store and the Mission Valley location. At both stores, everything is locked up behind glass cases and you have to press a button and hope some underpaid teenager comes over to open the case so you can get soap. (Yes, that's right. Soap. Soap is locked up.) Then you, the paying customer, sits and waits while they unlock the case and ask you which soap you want. Then they lock it up and walk away, leaving you to press the button again 30 seconds later when you find the razors you want locked up as well.

I understand there is a major theft and homelessness problem at this store, but then hire extra security or don't let those people in. You're stopping the rest of us paying customers from accessing the items we want, extending the time of our Target runs, and generally frustrating us all in an effort to stop people that you should just be keeping out of the store in the first place.
