One of my favorite bakeries in San Francisco. Tartine is an iconic bakery that makes American and French classics with a twist. At times they have a line so you need to plan your visit. Tartine is also known for their bread.

Service is always great. Staff is knowledgeable about the products. During COVID they are taking all the necessary precautions.

The pastries and sandwiches taste just as lovely as they smell. There is usually a line up and it's quite $$$. Totally worth it, though.

The regular croissant was GREAT!
The almond croissant with some kind of paste inside was extremely sweet and heavy. Next time I'll just have the regular croissant.

This restaurant provides decent service in addition to delectable cuisine. Everyone I meet gets a recommendation from me for this restaurant.

Best croissants of my life! Smoked ham and gruyere was delicious. Chocolate croissant was sublime! You can smell the bakery from two blocks away. Must see stop in SF!

I like this place for pastries, cakes, and tarts. It's a good place to spend time with a friend or to begin your day. I had a chance to taste lemon cream tart. This is a sweet pastry shell filled with lemon cream. The tart had an amazing flavor and very good taste! If you like a lemon flavor dessert I highly recommend trying this one!

The best bakery in town. The coconut cream pies and banana cream pies are to die for. They also pair their croque mousiers with spicy carrots. Delicious and highly of recommend!

Overpriced, decent food, obnoxious patrons, uptight staff. Their larger restaurant/bar is much better.

Great pastries at an iconic bakery in SF. Get there early for a nice breakfast or after 430 for some amazing bread

Went at 11 am on a sunday, decided not to wait in the 30+ min line. Instead came back around 3: 30, still busy but worth it. Shared croissants, chocolate souffle, and berry torte. Also had good beer. Delicious options but very busy! Suggest going at off peak times.

C’mon it’s the mothership it has to get 5 stars. Super friendly staff and tasty pastry washed down with delicious hot coffee. Totally worth the queuing!

OG San Francisco bakery that never disappoints! Continuing to innovate with the Manufactory and collaboration with Stonemill Matcha.

All the serving staff were miserable as sin the morning I went in, dry service. No hello, no smile, no thank you. They serve you drinks by calling your name then turning their backs. Just weird odd service. But the food was delicious, beautifully made and presented. The kind of place you’d go to once but wouldn’t come back.

Nice pastries, croissants, etc. Unfortunately they had ran out of sandwiches, so can't comment on those

It was a long line, but I thought I had to be in once in my life time so I did it. Croissants were good, but just a bit burnt I think. The banana cream tart! That was the remarkably delicious, the best banana tart in my life!

The bread pudding was some of the best I've ever had. My only regret is being unable to try everything. Everything was delicous to look at and eat!

Hyped up place. The coffee was ok and the hazelnuts in the tart burnt. Not worth it standing in the line.

A universally disappointing and overpriced experience. The tiny portion of coddled egg (singular) was served with great flourish (topped with fish eggs) but simply wasn’t that. The bone broth was the most bland tasteless broth I have ever had (again topped with a pretentious description on the menu). To be fair the bread was delicious but I genuinely wish I had bought a loaf and walked out with it. Had hoped for interesting modern cuisine and instead left hungry with lighter pockets.

The absolute best croissant I have ever had in my life. I dream about this place. Be prepared for a wait, but it is worth it.
