Taste Buds Kitchen reviews
19 I was delighted to see the kids enjoying my daughter's birthday party; however, I believe there are opportunities for enhancements to elevate the overall experience. The staff, while friendly, could be more engaging with the children, especially during idle periods such as when the pizza dough was baking or when waiting for the milkshakes.
I initially envisioned the kids actively participating in making their own milkshakes and adding toppings, but it turned out the process was handled by a helper, leaving the children with little to do. It would have been beneficial if the staff had organized an activity during these waiting times to keep the kids entertained.
In hindsight, I would have preferred knowing in advance that the kids wouldn't be crafting their own milkshakes, as I might have opted for the alternative dessert option of cupcake decorating. Additionally, the size of the pizzas the kids made was relatively small, and some children were left hungry. Fortunately, the extra adult pizzas that were ordered helped fill the gap.
Comparing this experience to a party I hosted at Taste Buds Kitchen two years ago, I noticed a difference in engagement levels and portion sizes. Considering the investment made for this party, I believe a more interactive and generous experience would have been more in line with expectations.
We had so much fun spending some time together making cookies and milkshakes for Santa. The vibes were cozy and the instructors were all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
So much fun! Well organized, darling inside, and fun for littles! I already want to go back.
Thank you for always having a fun, clean atmosphere- whether we’re picking up gingerbread houses or taking classes!
Had a great time baking cookies with my daughter. Very kid friendly, and the teachers had great energy. Will definitely take more classes here.
Fun chef lots busy work with helpers, fun dinner and lucky experience at Willow Glen location
My sons both love TBK. Despite being rather picky eaters, they seem much more willing to taste new thing when they have been the ones to create them. The food that comes homenis always interesting and outside our day to day diet which expands the whole families tastebuds. I hope that in thrbfuture there will be more semester long after school programs to continue building on previous skills and excitement.
Great experience for our group of preschoolers and parents. Efficient and well planned! I would highly recommend. Super cute Gingerbread houses at the end.
We just held a corporate event here. They were very professional and very easy to work with. Definitely will do another event there soon.
We’ve been to a couple baking classes with my 3 year old son and it’s been a great experience. He has a lot of fun following along to make the recipes and getting his hands dirty. Recipes are well planned for the age group. Friendly staff and good with kids.
Update: after attending a few more classes I’ve been disappointed with their unwillingness to let two caregivers participate sometimes. I’ve brought my mom and husband with me on different occasions (not at the same time) and they really ruin the family fun by making one caregiver sit a few feet away from the table. Sometimes they let two of us participate and other times they don’t. Kind of a bummer and ruined a few classes for us
Had a great time with the family during the Thanksgiving week where we booked a private party for 11 people, where we all learned to cook chicken parmesan, mushroom risotto, and filling our own canolis. Learned some great knife skills and cooking tips & tricks hosted by a great TBK team.
Great facility, awesome staff! Very well managed parties. My daughter and her friends had a blast at her 9th birthday party. Highly recommend this place for birthday parties.
We’ve booked TBK for my daughter’s birthday 2 years in a row. The kids always have such a fun time cooking/baking. Belinda and her team are great at guiding them. We picked the sushi theme this year and it was a huge hit. It’s also stress free for the parents. Highly recommend for kids’ birthday parties
Loved having my daughters birthday at Taste Buds! Staff was fantastic and the kids had so much fun.
We had a great time. We loved that the class was not too big and whenever we had a question, staff was available. The Chef was fantastic and made everything easy and fun. I have already booked another class!
This is a lot of fun, easy to do, and you meet fun people - all while learning to make great food on an induction cooktop (all electric, no gas). We had a blast making Coq au Vin, Lyonnaise Potatoes, and dessert crepes. They measure out all the ingredients for you and teach you how to chop, prepare and cook the food - and you get to eat it at the end! My only complaint is that we were eating at 9: 30PM, which was late for us; but it was worth it!
My team of 18 had the best time in the Pizza Making Class. Belinda and her staff are wonderful and helped guide us in making very delicious pizza ever! Would highly recommend! And they were accommodating to dietary restrictions and we enjoyed the beer and wine selection as well!
I love it there. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, in particular Chef Dave is super fun. We did the pasta class and the Cuban class and both were lots of fun. Can't wait to see what else they offer this fall!
Great experience for a corporate event of 15 people. Menu was gluten free and nut free which we needed for our group. Demonstrations of knife skills and other cooking techniques were excellent. Food was tasty, we learned something and they were BYOB with a small corkage fee. Will definitely return for future events.
