Best Chicago style food in San Diego. As a native Chicagoan and SD transplant, this place reminds me of home. Give them a try and I promise you’ll not be disappointed

Been wanting to try this place and it did not disappoint. One of the best Italian beefs I’ve had in a while, it rivals places I used to go in Chicago. Also ordered the hotdog and pizza puff which were fantastic. JJ is super nice and cooked everything to perfection.

Want to come back to try the catfish

Mild sauce has been my motivation since youth (Hot Sauce Williams, B&M, Peter Pan's, Kim's, Open Pitt, JJ's, etc.other hood staples back home). I ate they food n got instant PTSD. Had to make sure my shawty on lap or by it lol. Yea brought back memories, I live out here now so I'll be comin hella often

The Gangster fries w/ lamb meet! Wow. One of the best things I've ever tasted period. Definitely up there with the top 3 fries I've ever had in San Diego.

My friend and I both got diarrhea from the beef. We ran the fastest 50-yard dash to the toilet in Southern California that day!

I got the 3 pc wings and fries and a Chicago style cheeseburger! Everything was amazing.

My husband got the hot dogs and that was the best hot dog I’ve ever EVER had! 100 % satisfied

This place is fire. Definitely an underrated spot great traditional Chicago favorites with the beautiful San Diego weather. JJ is super cool and friendly and doesn't mind steering you in the right direction on ordering and his suggestions are on point. Will be going here for years to come.

The spicy Italian sub was delicious. The chefs recommendation was fantastic. Friendly staff. Clean/sanitary

Ordered a simple Chicago hot dog and it was delicious. It was an explosion of different flavors in one. I’ll be coming back and trying out something new.

Best hamburger in the world. I had a jalapeno burger with the best french fries. Don't miss a chance to have this outstanding meal.

Family owned restaurant with steak sandwiches, chilly cheese fries. If your in San Diego stop by this palace

I ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich spicy but didn't have enough onions or no bell peppers but it was all right I wouldn't go back again though.

Had the beef and dog. Reminded me of the awesome greasy spoons back home. Check this place out!

They don't even know if the Italian Beef is made in-house or shopped by Vienna or another similar company. When asked they said: "Come on man, I don't know. " then hung up on me. If you d9nt know. DON'T TRUST IT!

It's ok nothing special but OVERPRICED for such an average-tasting hot dog.
$5.99 for a small simple hot dog? Not worth it.
There's got to be better places out there for half the cost but I'll keep lookin.

Had the Chicago beef sandwich. It was good. My daughter had the hot dog. The owner gave her some good-natured ribbing about having ketchup on her hot dog. He and the worker were very nice. Will definitely be going back next time I am in San Diego.
