Awesome service (khatir-dari), had aloo-pyaj paratha with butter and curd (dahi) and Malai kofta. Loved the food. Just like home. Must try.food $40 approx - 2 people. Good sweets also. If you are on the way from LA to SFO. Can have a good experience with this dhaba like restaurant.

This makes me feel like eating in a dhabba. I had ordered daal makhni and chicken tikka masala with butter and garlic naan.

Chicken Tikka masala and Naan were very good. Samosa was over cooked and I would not order again. Tamarind chutney tasted fine, but had small chunks of seed in it. Two green chutneys one was excellent, one was too old and not fresh tasting. Overall, OK but with room for improvement. I had the Tikka masala at medium heat level and it was just right for me.

Great ambiance. Delicious food. Good service. I’ve always wondered about this place every time I drive back from doing my show in Southern California. I finally stopped and checked it out and it was well worth it.

I go to a lot of Indian restaurants and this food really impressed. So flavorful! Not the fastest service but I'm convinced it's because they're ACTUALLY COOKING - the baingan barta was awesome

This restaurant is awesome. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was hungry and it was getting late. My partner and I were making the long drive back to LA. We got stuck in some bad traffic and the timing didn't line up for us to make it home for dinner. So we swung by this restaurant after seeing a sign. When we walked in, it felt so divey, but in a good way. The food tasted great and the people working there were so nice. I wish this place was closer to LA bexauee I would 100% go back.

The flavors are perfectly balanced. Great place for the whole family, even if you've never tried Indian food.

Since this place uses individual spices each time it cooks, rather than using pre-made masalas, you can ask for your dishes to be made extremely mild, and they will contain absolutely no chili powder, but have ALL of the other wonderful spice flavors, perfectly balanced.

But if you ask for a medium, you will get something extremely hot. I have no idea what will happen if you ask for your food very spicy.

The food is rich without being oily. The ingredients are fresh, with high quality meat and plenty of it.

The people who run this establishment are older gentlemen with calm and courtly manners.

Lassi tastes like what you get in India. Oh, and the garlic naan. Don't miss it is all I can say.

We are accustomed to living in a place with a large Indian population, with good restaurants, and we even visit India from time to time. I wish this restaurant in Buttonwood would move to our community.

Very recommendable place to eat. Food is great, nice environment, I came with my friends and they ordered a little bit of everything and everything was good. The roti were perfectly cooked and the mango Lassi was very tasty, I liked the saag as well. The most important thing was the great service that we received. I hope this review help you pick this place to eat open until 11pm

We ordered vegetarian food, shahi paneer, daal, naan and roti. Was delicious and quite happy with the service. They even allowed out dog inside the restaurant, they have one corner table where pet owners can sit with their pet. That’s quite thoughtful to allow pets inside when it’s too cold or hot outside.

This is the best restaurant that I have ever eaten, even my son enjoyed it, and when we asked for mild Tandoori Chicken, it was mild and my son enjoyed it without spiciness, and the service was very good and quality. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great naan! The malai kofta and the paneer curry were alright, at best. But let's face it. The real winner was the bathroom. Will come here again just to use their can.

HIDDEN GEM. Amazing food with outstanding service. Truly a "Punjabi dhaba" (roadside food shack on long highways found in northern India). The food is delicious, true to Indian taste with both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. The service was quick and the staff was very welcoming too (not just to us coz we are Indians but to Americans as well). We ordered dal makhani and Malai kofta with tawa roti and butter Naan. Hot and fresh, finger Licking good. My parents were visiting from India and were totally impressed with the quality of food and Chai (indian tea). A must stop if you are on i-5 around Buttonwillow California.

I usually stop here when I’m driving between LA and the Bay Area. My mom, an immigrant from India, has cited this restaurant as her favorite Indian restaurant in California. The food here is really delicious and wonderfully prepared. Staff is extremely friendly, and the bathrooms are also very clean. Highly recommend this place to anyone passing through the area via the 5!

Surprisingly good and authentic Indian food right off the highway. The people who worked there were very nice and friendly. I had the yellow daal (medium spice) and it was very tasty. Definitely spicy enough.
