We stopped in for a beer, and the food looked so good that we decided to stay for dinner. The řizek (chicken schnitzel) and koleno (pork knuckle) were wonderful and the portions were huge. They have a small but nice selection of Czech and European beers. Our server Lenka was warm and thoughtful. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return.

This place should NOT be called Taste of Tahoe because there isn't any place in Tahoe that tastes this good! I have never given a place in Tahoe 5 stars until now. Should be called Taste of Czech Republic or Taste of Prague. When my boss told me that we were having our Christmas party in town I was very reluctant because you can't get good food in South Lake.but I stand corrected and I see the light! Best food I have ever eaten in the 23 years I have lived here and the schnitzel is nothing short of a mouth orgasm.great people and great food. Merry Christmas to you guys for opening up your restaurant to our group and serving up the best food in town!

The food was very tasty and really have brought memories of church cuisine, the service was superb, too. Will be definitely stopping by next time!

The schnitzel was excellent, crunchy crust but not dry inside, and the mustardy potatoes went perfectly with it. The pork shank is also crazy good, I got a few bites and I'm definitely going to have to make a choice.

I had the pork Jaegerschnitzel with red cabbage and spetzels, it was fantastic. My wife had the goulash, also excellent.

One of Tahoe’s best restaurants. The authentic European flavors and passion for great food make this a MUST on every visit. When you can’t get to Prague but want all the home-cooked feel, go to Taste of Tahoe!

The jägerschnitzel chicken was delicious, as well as the side dishes served with it! So savory!

Had the pork schnitzel with mushroom sauce an noodle with the sweet red cabbage. OH MY GOD! Seasond to perfection! Delectable! Savory! Rich but not overpowering! Comfort food. Oh! And the apple strudel! My grandfather was German and Czech and only on holidays would make strudel in the exact same fashion.brought a tear to my eye and water to my mouth. I only had 1 beer, a lager, an it was all I needed.mind you I had "Large". At lk 44oz. Also had leftovers at about another full meal, make no mistake I am a very fat man trapped in a skinny mans body an im quite full.

Schnitzel was really delicious, crunchy crust, juicy meat and flavorful batter. Apple strudel is a little plain, not as good as home made.

One of the first things that I saw when I entered the building was a sticker that said "I love Gluten". Having a minor gluten sensitivity, I was worried how this would play out. One of the owners walked out and asked if we had any questions. After mentioning my concern he walked through every menu item's ingredients. There were two options that seemed be safe but he was unsure about the second. He went to the kitchen and talked to the chef who was also unsure. The owner then called the off duty person in charge of prepping that dish.

I am very grateful for the level of service and consideration that was provided here. Full disclosure, there were not many gluten free options, but the pork shank was delicious.

Great Czech restaurant, as the Czech guy I appreciated good Pilsner Urquell. Apple strudel was great too. Good location, nice staff. For any Czech viewers: Obsluha mluví česky!

Absolutely a must visit for anyone in or visiting the area. The owners care about making sure their meals are delicious and patrons leaving happy, making sure some proper Tahoe spirit sticks around.

They're regularly paying tribute to local history with occasional specials that are incredibly delicious. Hands down the best lasagna I've ever had in a restaurant. I got to chat with one of the owners and learned about their plans for keeping the local food culture alive, and plan to stop by in the future whenever I'm driving through to try and catch them.

Don't be concerned by the short menu, it's because they're putting special care into everything they serve. Come hungry from a day of hiking or playing in the snow and you'll leave happy.

I'm glad they relocated to this location. We don't like to hassle going down to the Village. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. Try and save some room for the strudel because it is amazing.
