Tasty China reviews
19 The staff member today with the floral shirt and the long brown hair has so much compassion for humans? She was so kind.
Their food is amazing as always.
Excellent food, excellent service they have well priced lunch specials and a great vegetarian bao. The tofu and fish entree was delicious and large- served 3 plus leftovers.
Best in Ventura! East end gem. Once you try this, you will see that Panda Express is garbage.
Food was absolutely incredible! It was our first time and this is definitely one of our go to's now. You have to get the xiao long bao or you're missing out. Egg rolls were amazing and the spicy seafood soup was delicious. We can't wait to visit again and try more dishes. The restaurant is a little small so it fills quickly that's how good this place is. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Service was friendly at Tasty China, but we were disappointed with the food. We were excited to try Tasty China because it had such good reviews, but after trying their food, I’m not sure why it’s so well-rated.
The orange chicken was soggy and had very little flavor. The fried rice had little flavor, too. The dumplings were also pretty plain. The chow mein was decent, though.
A lot of the to-go orders seemed mixed up when we arrived and it seemed pretty disorganized. When we got home we realized at least part of our order was missing.
I’ve been looking for a good Chinese food restaurant in Ventura County for a while. I was disappointed that Tasty China wasn’t it.
Absolutely delightful! We chose the seafood soup, green onion pancakes and the onion lamb. The lamb is melt in your mouth tender and the sauce divine. The soup broth has excellent flavor with mild heat, add the hot chili sauce sparingly for heat. The onion pancakes are light and flavorful. Will definitely be back, it’s a new favorite.
Had no idea what to expect of this small strip mall dim sum restaurant but it was one of our favorite meals. We ordered xao long bao (the pork dumplings they are famous for) as well as taro dumplings and beef onion pancakes. The staff was friendly and helpful too
Ordered via phone, excellent customer service. Food was ready within the estimated time and although they had a long takeout line, we were helped out quickly and courteously.
Their prices are reasonable and 90% of our meal was great! Would not recommend the xiao long bao. All other dishes were fantastic.
UPDATE: Fortune cookie was just a sports betting ad. LAME!
Whenever I don’t have food for my lunch break when I work, I always order here. By far one of my favorite places to eat Chinese food. The atmosphere when I enter feels comfortable, and has such a nostalgic vibe as I’ve always been surrounded by family owned businesses. The staff are extremely friendly and always welcome me with a smile:) I can’t help but appreciate how respectful they are!
Additionally, the food is ABSOLUTELY delicious. I’ve been to many Chinese restaurants and by far this is one of the most delicious. Their price range is just right and the warmth from the xiao long bao is comforting. If you’re new to their menu, I highly suggest trying their Pork and Vegetable Xiao Long Bao. It’s a must try and overall such a delicious place to eat:) One of my favorite Asian restaurants and places to visit in general here in Ventura County?
The only think I can say about this place is. WOW.delicious oriental food. Will come again and again. Great food for the Soul. Good bless.you guys would love it. Guys it gets very busy so place your time accordingly. I like to place a phone order myself. Wonderful eats the flavors are explosive.
Very good but also very busy. That's good because it means they are popular and their food proves it.
This place surprised me. Delicious food in a laid back dinning room. I will definitely be back with photos to share next time. Real good authentic food
Absolutely delicious Kung Pao Chicken! Super fresh. Also Pork long Bao, yummy! Our new fav place!
Tasty China is one of the hidden gems in Ventura. From the outside, you wouldn't know this restaurant has some of the best rated soup dumplings in the nation.
Order at least one of the soup dumplings. And then, get one of the Szechuan dishes and be prepared to eat it with lots of rice as these dishes are spicy!
A hidden gem right on a busy intersection. Both their dim sum and their more Americanized dishes are v good. Friendly service. Thank u!
This place offers very authentic Chinese food that you might find in San Gabriel Valley. The soup dumplings that have been mentioned I think are for me the main draw. They taste homemade with thinner skins. I know they have Chinese American food but the more authentic Chinese menu which is the real draw because that is really hard to find in Ventura County area. The owner is sweet.
The food was really good and they were generous with the portions. Staff was very friendly as well. Cool little spot, we will be back!
Been dreaming about the fish tofu and an opportunity popped up, promo from Postmates! Ordered delivery, got the fish tofu of course, Dan Dan noodles and pork buns. Their version of the noodle is incredible - it has the same sauce as the tofu fish. For some reason the flavors are elevated, I couldn't stop eating them! The fish tofu is amazing as I remembered it, but the pork buns felt amiss, overall still a great value even with delivery since it's quite a distance from where I live.

Found this place through DoorDash and so glad it lived up to its name! Ordered fish with tofu - just opening up the container, I could already tell it's good, the aroma of all the spices just make your mouth water in anticipation! They were very generous with the portion, actually gave me 1 quart and a half and they included rice without asking and at no extra charge! These days it's a rarity and that is so much appreciated. Tofu was silky and fish was amazing, combined these and the sauce with rice - it's heaven with a slight tingle from the Sichuan peppers! Will definitely be back to try more!
I love the food and how personable the owner is. My favorites are the mapo tofu, beef soup, beef pancakes, and the pumpkin cake. So good!
