Tasty Pot, Elk Grove CA

Tasty Pot is the GOAT. Love their different takes on taiwanese hot pot. Super flavorful and filling. My only gripe about the food is that they put a lot of cabbage in there to pad the volume.

The hot pots were very delicious with Taiwanese cuisine. Definitely recommend to family and friends.

I'm rating it a 1 because the chicken wings were slimy under the crust and unedible I better not get food poisoning, my mouth feels sticky from the slime. Natomas location is better.

There are three small pieces of beef tendon inside, which is surprising, but it’s a pity that it’s not cooked till it’s tender and tastes delicious.

I ordered it to be iced, but there were still a lot of ice cubes inside.

Would always stop here on my commute home down south and loved it. Really good cheaper hot pot choice! 3 main sauces, but it works well with the soup. This is my favorite location in the Sacramento area.

Decent prices and covid-safe hotpot since everyone gets their own and it is not shared. Love their beef and lamb hotpots!
Recommend you at least get mild spice, no spice is literally no spice, kinda bland.

Their wait list app does NOT work. People who came after us all were seated first. When we pointed this out to the owners they pretty much told us too bad.

This is one of my go-to spots - especially on a cold or rainy day. My stable pot is #1 with the beef and it is more than enough for one person.

The reason for the three stars is due to the lack of cleanliness or unhygienic practice I've observed yesterday during lunch. I saw a male staff person with face covering and cropped hair washed a towel in a red bucket of water without gloves. He proceeded to clean a table, picked up used tableware and wiped it down. He then tossed the dirty towel back into the red bucket. Without washing his hands after the clean up, he picked up some clean bowls, chopsticks, and napkins to set up the table for the next group of hungry diners. I imagine this being a common practice in most restaurants but seeing it happened was gross. During my visit, I only observed one staff wearing gloves. Hopefully he changed them between cleaning and handling clean items.

This place aren’t in track calling people who came first, they seemed to pick their tribe first than people who came first in different color, I ask one of the people waiting, they came 15 mins later than me but they let them set down first before me, I won’t recommend this damn place to anyone prefer good service & professionalism. Imagine I waited 50 mins to be seated, it’s an insult/being different color.

Food is okay. Prices are on the expensive side considering there's only 3 slices of meat in a hotpot. The staff is really nice though. Perhaps the most annoying part is that you can't sub ingredients. I don't mind paying more to sub but they don't even allow you to remove ingredients you don't want. It's kind of ridiculous. If you prefer to personalize your hotpot or you're a meat eater and want to get more value for your money, then this isn't the right place for you. If you already like the ingredients and don't really like to eat that much meat then this would be the right fit. Otherwise, AYCE hotpots in the area would be a better option.

Good, tasty hotpot. And my kids love the chicken wings. Side note: They keep forgetting to input our number for the 5 Stars reward app though.

This is one of my usual spots. Individualized hot put style with pre-measured food items in it. Plenty of variety within the pot. Perfect for cooler or rainy days.
