We had a great experience last night, from the hostess (sorry I didn't get your name) to our server, Caroline! They were amazing. You have to try the Tubi Doobie Doo cocktail, it was refreshingly good! We shared appetizers and LOVED the Tequila Chicken Spring Rolls, Guacamole & chips and the BBQ Pizza!

We had the enchiladas suizas and a salad with salmon both were good and enough for later! Most including us were there for a show. So except crowds all in and all out at the same time. We arrived after the show started and enjoyed a seat at the bar! Solid service. Thank you.

GREAT PRE CONCERT DINNER SPOT- we had dinner here before a concert. It was delicious. We had the ahi poke, guacamole, and bbq chicken pizza. Good drink list as well. The decor is fantastic- enjoy!

The quality of “everything “ has gone down. This might be the tiniest martini I’ve ever had. The blue cheese olives must be from a jar. The ahi stack has changed to a few pieces of ahi and lots of wonton’s with ginger and seaweed salad. Such a disappointment

PRETTY AVERAGE! This place used to be called the Wild Note Cafe but not long back after a new coat of paint and a few posters on the wall became Tavern. Still the same out of date selection of craft beer on tap headlined by Ballast Point "Sculpin" IPA and Sierra Nevada "Hazy Little Thing" IPA.no true craft beer lover would order these very average beers if there was better quality stuff on the menu. And the upgraded lunch / dinner menu reads well until you eat it.maybe it's time to upgrade the chef. Of course this place is the pre-show haunt for a few Belly Uppers who are game enough to try the bar food and who don't care what they drink. The Belly Up owner is an old wine lover and I doubt if he has even tried the food here. Sadly there is not much choice of good food and craft beer on S Cedros Ave. My wife and I popped in here for lunch about 1pm on Monday because we like to support local businesses. A kind server named Michelle let us bring our eBikes inside as there is nowhere safe to leave them on the sidewalk. We decided to sit inside rather than on their semi outdoor patio because there was hot asphalt being laid on S Cedros.horrible smell! The lunch menu looks to have changed since our last visit a few months ago. Michelle was very helpful and brought us big glasses of iced water. Seriously we wouldn't come here for a planned lunch because their beer selection absolutely sucks. Michelle said they were offering a LUNCH SPECIAL. 2 x Crab Cakes, 2 x Tempura Shrimp on a bed of Stir Fry Veggies. So we decided to go with one of those and 1 x Thai Chicken Dumplings Starter. The cool posters totally covering 2 of the walls look great.like ROCK 'N' ROLL wallpaper but the place still feels and looks like a dingy dive bar. Our lunch order arrived pretty fast and looked okay. My wife and I didn't mind the Tempura Shrimp, thought the Crab Cake was okay, the Thai Chicken Dumplings were decent but the bed of Stir Fry Veggies was pretty much all onions and bell peppers.lazy effort. Like I said earlier their menu reads well but you have to have someone running the kitchen who knows how to cook. We really appreciated the thoughtful service of Michelle our server but that doesn't make the food taste better. I'm sure Belly Up concert goers would appreciate better quality food and a good choice of PREMIUM CRAFT BEER in the evening. And maybe more locals would have lunch here if they improved their game!

Amazing dinner started with the new smoke roasted tomato soup for the Winter night, salmon grilled with dijon mustard is THE best, finished with soft chocolate banana cake. At a night without show, the restaurant is all mine! Best kept secret, shh.

You’ve been remodeling for a month. And not MENTIONING YOU’re CLOSED ON YOUR SITE
WE DROVE 45 mn to come to lunch

The burger with the shallot wine reduction and mushrooms was the most amazing thing EVER! I’m sad that my health has prevented me from returning to CA for our annual visits but I need another burger like this in my life!

How have I not reviewed this yet? We have been going to the Wild Note Cafe for years! We look forward to the Rad Thai, Salmon dishes (often times there is a special), the lobster enchiladas, sliders and much more! Don't judge by the looks of the cafe. The food is outstanding and we have NEVER been disappointed. Oh, and the service.love the servers. Highly recommend!
