Tea House Spa, Santa Cruz CA

Really good place to get sometime to relax. We didn’t get a massage or try other facilities but booking a room for an hour is worth it.

The experience wasn’t so bad. Went with my boyfriend and enjoyed our hour in the spa. It wasn’t until two days after I broke out in rash from what my doctor called “hot tub Folliculitis” basically a huge rash all over me that is caused by poor cleaning of hot tubs or in the case the tubs at the tea spa. Will not be returning. Such a shame because it was a cute place.

It’s so lovely to sit in the hot tub with a cup of green tea and look out onto the garden. Try some of the selection of boutique teas too.

Amazing place to relax and forget about the stress you may be experiencing. Their prices have gone up so I tend to treat myself to the hot tub and then do the massage afterwards. And then I leave fully relaxed

I love this spa! Its one of me and my husband's favorite spots. It can be hard to find a nice place that is quiet, were you can relax peacefully so that is why we love it here. The calm inviting atmosphere makes you feel so at ease. I appreciate how kind the staff are also its nice to get a tea of your choice with your treatment. If you ever need to get away for some peace and quite you should give this place a try.

Dark wood and rock, with a lovely view out to the bamboo forest. Cosy, intimate. Delicious selection of teas (herbal and non). Relaxed and friendly staff. Get the daytime rates - they're a steal. I've been coming here for years and am always happier for it.

My boy and I went here and the shower was ice cold. We asked the staff and they told us that the hot water wasn't working in any room for a while after we paid for the session. Go to Well Within Spa instead, they are awesome and their house tea is perfection.

Generally love this place but there has been a lot of employee turn over lately and the rooms are not being cared for very well.

First time here, it was a gift card. I was scheduled for the first massage of the day, yet the ladies at the front weren't the most welcoming. Seemed annoyed that I arrived before official opening (10: 50 for an 11 appointment). The massage therapist was late. Once we got going it was a nice treat. I won't go back, but it was an experience worth having

As always, it was amazing. We were in room 3 which is one of the nicest. Had the blood orange tea. Very relaxing.

Love going, their spas offer great quiet atmosphere, it’s largley what I go for. I haven’t tried all the spas in Santa Cruz but this one is my favorite so far!

I love this place! It is beautiful and relaxing. The price is reasonable. Be sure to call for reservations, especially on the weekend

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our visit. We had the 50 min massage then 50 min spa/sauna couples deal. Massages are in separate rooms but very well done and specific to your needs and desires. Got two tea options because we were celebrating our anniversary!
PARKING: The are a lot of free 2 hour parking spots in the area, meter parking right in front, or a pay to park lot nextdoor.
Highly recommend!

This place is so relaxing! Imagine going from busy city to a personal hot tub room with any tea of your choosing and a bamboo jungle as a view. This place absolutely has the 'more than meets the eye' feel about it. You can stay in the tub for about an hour and request as many refills on tea as you want. Bring a friend or come here alone. Either way you'll have a peaceful time without anyone else around!

The BEST most chill, most awesome, most dope place to work! The vibes here are always so so good. The people that come into work are all really kind and nice. The Manager is a dope chick and the owners are very sweet people. Has a good family vibe to it. Check it out if you are ever in Santa Cruz.

Best private sauna and spa rooms in the entire Bay Area, possibly best in the world! They'll let you book two hours back to back for a full experience. The saunas and spas are hot and ready when you enter, and the rooms are zen-like with windows to a bamboo garden outside. There are no clocks in the room, so they ring a gentle bell when time is up. I've really never had a better sauna and spa experience anywhere else.

The Tea House Spa is my absolute favorite spa in Santa Cruz. It's in a great location and, since the rooms are centered in a closed off garden, there is the feeling of privacy amidst the bustling downtown strip. Not to mention, their tea is amazing! If you ever get the opportunity to taste their tea, you have to try their coconut and chocolate monkey teas. I can guarantee you'll want to take at least one of those teas home when your stay is concluded.
