Tea Hut reviews
13Cheese lychee tea boba opened my third eye to understand the meaning of having good quality boba.
Love the different kinds of fruit tea options they provided. Watermelon tea is very refreshing.
A very clean and pretty boba shop! Menu had a good range of options (lots of coconut stuff if you like that!) and the drinks are yummy
Very cute building, nice high quality cups and delicious milk tea. The people are very nice, and also the boba is very squishy and yummy! I got the lemon black tea with boba, it's very good.
Delicious quality boba shop in downtown San Carlos. The coconut drinks series (coco melon, coco mango, etc) are soooo refreshing and tasty, and not too sweet. I love coconut and watermelon and whoever came up with this combo, it's the best (to me)! Options are customizable and there's a tablet to order. I haven't tried beyond the cocos but there are a good amount of unique drinks and toppings options that I will be returning to try. Street parking can be a bit of a challenge since the downtown area is closed off from cars. I suggest the residential area a block behind, or wheeler plaza down the street.
Loved the coconut pudding and milk! Their sugar levels are just right. Not insane sweet like most boba places.
THE BEST (not one of the best, but BEST) BUBBLE TEA PLACE IN BAY AREA AND ONE OF THE BEST IN THE WORLD. They use real fruits and the flavors are GREAT. I come here all the time, because it’s different, though they have classic menu as well. Definitely try their drinks, especially the new coconut family series. I took my friends here, they love this place and I love this place!
So many fresh fruit options and no fake sugary syrups. Lightly sweetened. Such a nice surprise.
Super good- all the fruit is freshly cut!
I got passion fruit tea, 75% sweetness, with boba + 2xLychee jelly. It was perfect! I have quite a sweet tooth but I think I might opt for 50% sweetness next time, but the lychee is so good. Def trying one of the milk tea options next time!
My bf got a watermelon tea with lych3ee and his was amazing too.
I got the Coco Berry drink and it was amazing! I loved the chunks of fresh coconut and grapefruit, and the sweetness level (I got less sweet) was perfect. I got boba in it too, which was good but honestly not necessary because the drink itself was so good.
Coworkers and I have been ordering from here for the past few years. It's one of our preferred boba tea places. Generally consistent taste, not too milky, not too sweet, and has the tea aromas.milk tea and the fruit teas. The "regular" boba is different than other regular boba, slightly more chewy but not over-cooked chewy. It's similar to the "golden boba" style at a couple of well-known places.
Jasmine milk tea w/boba is usually my go-to drink at all places, which they do this well.
Milk tea is absolutely disgusting. Completely watery. I orderd near closing but STILL it is far too watery to make up.
Not sure how wrong you can go with boba tea. Tea Hut has a sleek interior and the cups come out solid. The only issue is that every drink is somewhat "off" and doesn't delight you. At this point we've tried the basic black milk tea, jasmine, oolong, Oreo, and even the passion-fruit-mango. They are all meh~ and none of them really feel like an "awesome" drink. I'm not sure whether they are not using whole milk, or enough tea, but every drink feels a bit bland and watered down. There's too much pulp in the passion-fruit-mango and the Oreo tasted like mud.
Perhaps the only saving grace is the black-sugar tea that comes in the regular size (at the last section of the menu). This probably is the only drink that feels wholesome enough to deserve a repeat.
Won't be returning any time soon. Just walk over to Boba Guys down the street.
