Team Amvets Thrift Store reviews
14I got my allergies there when I got home I went to the ER I got home from the ER it was 4: 44pm I left the store at 2: 00
An actual thrift store! One that you won't pay almost retail store prices for clothes.
I got 2 shorts, 3 shirts and 1 sweater for $10. Can't beat that! But do expect to sort through the clothes a bit, lots of them are stained or have small holes.
By far the best thrift store in town. Veterans get 20% off on Tuesdays and 10% off the rest of the week. All items are tagged with different color labels and daily they select three colors that are half off.
I like the Amvets it's got some really fun people and very interesting stuff to look at. Sometimes I get things and I think I don't really need that but other times it's spot on. Go there shop a bit see what you can find!
The prices are much better there than any other thrift store.
The area can be difficult to get to on a bike and there are many homeless around so recommend someone stay with bikes when others go inside.
Been able to find a few things here to use or re-sell. Last good score paid $25 for a bag of watches, sold 1 watch for $500 same day.
Open till 6pm. Great way to get out of traffic for a bit and go shopping for whatever you like.
Prices are pretty good, reasonable.
This man closed the store, I guess the manager was nice, and directive in his policies and getting the store free of customers at 6 pm.
This one lady who works there is like super woman and is a hard worker. She put all these garments on hangers and then to the racks pretty quick. This crew is very efficient and it reflects with the organized store
Amvets been around for a long time and I remember when I was in high school it was a good place to shop for name brand clothing without having to pay the price. Today, first time I've been in there since covid and have been searching and so many stores just for a simple cotton sleeveless pink blouse. Lo and behold! I found a Jones * Wear in perfect condition $ 2.95 plus tax. I'm just giving them for stars as a lot of the merchandise is very old. It would be a good idea to have a giant sale and get up to date. Of course, just my opinion. There are other thrift shops that have done that and have prospered.
It's really big. Parking is a complete butt. Tons of good stuff there seems to rotate about every month. Been very lucky specifically In clothing and HomeGoods.
If you are a veteran or active duty military, please remember to ask for your discount as they have a 10% veterans discount
Lots of kids clothes. Huge place tons of stuff for everyone. Prices are good. People are nice helpful. Parking is always an issue. Be patient.
My assessment of a 5 star thrift store is 1) selection 2) prices. This place is BIG. This place is DUSTY. But take a little time and you can find AWESOME stuff, like these brand new in box men's shoes. At goodwill these pups would be $15 or $20. There's some real junk along with some real nice stuff. Tag specials for 50% off. 10% off for military and veterans.
Out of all the thrift stores this place is my least favorite. They barely had any good women's or men's clothing. It's more smelly inside here too. The employees behind the register were watching me a lot like a hawk! Heard one of the females say something like "reseller sell things online" out loud lol. I was browsing on my phone from time to time so they kept eyeballing me behind the register for awhile whenever I caught them looking at me. Maybe not much asians come here or something.they need more professional employees here or training. Anyway atleast they offer military 10% discount and 20% off on Tuesdays. I left with only 2 sandals, 1 shoes and a plate. I will not be returning to this location.
I went to amvets looking for very hard to find items. I figured that with it being such a "hole in the wall" shop that MAYBE they might actually have what i needed. Alas, they did not BUT i did find 21 other items that i thought I had to have including a brand new pair of name brand clothing WITH THE TAGS STILL ON THEM! I walked out of there paying just over 40 dollars for everything! The only cons i really have is the cleanliness and the lack of ANY sort of sizing organization.
