Mexican Restaurant Teaqueria reviews
18Not the best burritos by far.rice looked and tasted like beans. Very salty and there was a hoard of unruly high school boys from next door.
Doesn‘t look like much from the outside, but the food was amazing. Nice service and chill atmosphere. We tried a little bit of everything and it was great. The boba was huge and if you ask for non spicy its perfect for kids.
I actually like this place a lot. The boba is 5 dollars each and you can choose upto 3 toppings, which is cheap. The chimichanga is also really good. The outside layer is crispy and soft, and the inside is really good. It usually comes with beans, rice and salsa and takes 2 people to finish. Only problem is that I ask for tofu as the meat substitute and every single time they tell me they can't do that. When I persist and mention that I did it the last time, they agree and they prepare a great chimichanga with tofu. Wish I didn't have to persist. Otherwise a really good place.
This place was not good at all I don’t know how people are putting 5 stars. They must not know what real Mexican food tastes like.
I ordered the steak chimichanga with habanero and serrano sauce as the sides.
The chimichanga was pretty soft and had really good flavor, and the serrano sauce was good too and it's definitely spicy.
Good food at a relatively high price point.
Ordered a steak burrito with extra steak, guacamole, and chips & salsa. Received a steak burrito with what seemed like a normal amount of steak, 3 or 4 tablespoons of guacamole on the side, and a small handful of chips, all for $23 including tax and tip.
The burrito, guacamole, and chips were good. Orange sauce needs some work: too heavy on the "char" flavor, overpowering everything else. The base price of the burrito is fair. But the extras were not worth the price relative to portion size.
I would come back for the food, but skip the extras.
Boba and burritos! What can go wrong? It's not great Mexican food but passable and didn't try the bins l boba.
Absolutely love their teas! Taste the flights to know what you want to order. Cute little place if you want to get away from the hustle bustle of downtown and still want a nice, relaxing meal
Amazing taro milk tea Only $5 for boba with 2 free toppings? Basically unheard of in the Bay area. Will come back again and again!
Yo this place is legit!
Frank took care of me with his awesome girthy flavor Flav burrito and that orange sauce. I didn't even need to anywhere else to get milk tea because after trying his boba, it for me constantly coming ova!
Love the patio holla hang out too!
Put up with the entirety of 971 coming to order, and was quick despite the tens of people coming in at once.
Absolutely exceptional service. I ordered through grubhub and when my food came half of it was missing. The restaurant realized this, called me, and sent someone to bring the other half of the order despite my having already been refunded through grubhub. We will definitely be repeat customers and everything was delicious.
Super good food, friendly, and attentive staff. What more can you ask for? They have an easy to order menu. Step 1 - Choose your item. Step 2 - Choose your protein. It can’t get any easier than that. We ordered the chorizo burrito, chicken, quesadilla, chicken rice bowl, and chicken nachos
Just grabbed a Boba black tea traditional Taiwanese style since I used to live there and was craving it. Met the owner - he's a Taiwanese dude who moved here when he was eleven, always a plus in my book! The tea comes in this huge glass mug like beer, which is awesome in itself. We sat in the outside space, which was chill, but there's nice seating inside, too. Will definitely come back for the food next time.
Great combination restaurant that does it right. Most combination restaurants lack on one end or another, Teaqueria is the opposite, they have great food and drinks. The staff is friendly and has good customer service. The restaurant also has good outdoor and indoor dining as well. Definitely a great place to hang out.
I have really grown to love this place I eat the chicken chimichanga it is so delicious the sauce is handmade and you can tell the pico de gallo was cut up today very good service if it had 10 Stars I will give it 10
Very good customer service the music is very versatile for young and older crowd relaxing
Not to mention very affordable anytime me and my best friend are in San Jose I come straight here off the freeway first stop
And to top it off I get the mango mint mojito tea so delicious they also offer boba in different toppings for the tea
Got the rose Assam black tea with boba and no added sugar besides the syrup, and a chicken rice bowl. The rice bowl portion may look small for $10, but it packs a heavy punch in filling one's stomach through its choice of meat or protein, fried egg, and avocado as large toppers. Don't skip out on the drinks here, they're a rarity in the modern day at affordable prices, and they even come with two free toppings!
Big portions with okay tea, this place was a great place to try but maybe not somewhere we would go back.
When we ordered we had our hearts set in the rolled tacos (taquitos) but we're told the oil wasn't ready we didn't go right when they opened, but hey, if you're means we know they clean their oil regularly, I'm so for it!
Ended up getting a burrito. Quesadilla, and fish tacos. The burrito was good. It was huge (picture with pixel 6 pro for scale) and filled me up the whole day. Getting it as a meal included chips/salsa or rice/beans and a drink.
We got two meals and honestly the tea was good but nothing amazing. Not bad for $5 extra including the chips.
The service was good but the reason I put 3 instead of 4 starts was that their salsa was heavy on some herb that didn't mix well with us. Maybe thyme it oregano. Ultimately, we didn't use the salsa we paid for.
In the end, I'd not object to going back if my friend wanted to, but I wouldn't choose to come here either.
Another note: their outdoor dining area is weird with low tables and lounge like sofas. Great for tea and chilling, not great for eating tacos.
