Having a security guard at the entrance, instead of a receptionist checking everyone, made me feel safer. My surgery went well. My surgery from start to discharged took 4 1/2 hours. I had many questions for the anesthesiologist, because, he was responsible for putting me to sleep and bringing me out of that sleep. He answered without reservation, even though he may not have been used to the kind of questions I was asking. I reminded him of my medical history and the antiemetic that works best for me. Overall my experience was good. I’m happy that my surgeon chose our community level 11 trauma center for my outpatient surgery instead of the surgery center. That, in and of itself put me at ease because of my medical history and my age.

I would say although wait times were very long in between tests, they did everything they could to determine what my problem was. If you go to the ER, it is very cold - suggest wearing long pants, shoes and socks and take a warm sweater or jacket even though it's the middle of a hot summer. They did give me a blanket to wrap around me as I was there for 6 hours, but they are thin so was still cold and was pretty frozen by the time I left. I would say the ER is a well oiled machine and they have many people giving EKG's, blood tests and Xrays, etc. If you are not in too bad a shape they do all this and send you back out to the waiting room to wait for results, etc. Only the more serious cases get to go in a bed in the back, which is understandable.

Having to come into an emergency room is no fun. I did get good care while there. The nurses were thorough and the CT/X-ray Department were very nice. My only complaint is that I had to sit next to a woman that knew she had Covid in the waiting area as well as in the back treatment area. Thank goodness for masks.

I arrived at the hospital at 12: 06 pm with severe shoulder pain. I got registered, saw the Dr, was taken to x-ray, saw a nurse for a pain shot, my prescriptions were called in to my pharmacy, I was discharged and got back to my car at 1: 10! It was an amazing experience.
I am very pleased.

My first experience here was this past Friday. They very nice and welcoming. Especially the intake nurse Karen. They accommodated me by turning off the light in the room as my eyes were extremely sensitive to light. I was pleased with the overall amount of time I spent there, not ridiculously long.

ER Nurse Alexa RN was amazing along with Dr. Steele and his Residents really took the time to fix what I was there for rather than a quick medication fix. I left the ER in no pain from a quick procedure and a clear plan of care with follow up. What medicine should really look like. Thank you all!

Temecula Valley Hospital is one of the finest hospitals in the Riverside area. From the moment you enter, there is someone to help register you, another person comes along to assess what you are being seen for, and finally, waiting, which isn't very long at all. Every one of the personnel are friendly and helpful. They really like their jobs, and they also seem to really like trying to help you, too! Temecula Valley Hospital is the greatest!

I was really, really scared going in, everyone was very nice and reassuring. I had a four day stay and loved all my nurses and doctors. Much thanks to my team, I am feeling great today. Bless you all!

This is one of the best emergency room experiences in a long time I have personally felt like ERs and doctors have been so overwhelmed and overworked so they have been slacking but not here EVERYONE I mean it everyone was so nice to me and treated me like a human and took my symptoms very seriously I am leaving the ER feeling better like I should I appreciate all the nurses and MDs doing there job here and making me feel so comfortable.

From the security at the entrance to the check in process to the op patient surgery department, I can highly recommend this facility. Everyone was professional and respectful. I was well taken care of and would not hesitate to return if the need arises.

Very small hospital, wonderful staff, there was no beds anywhere in the hospital so they were taking care of the emergency room patients in the er waiting room kinda like a mash unit. 6 hours later we were gone all fixed up.

After five hours in emergency my 85 yea old a wife was dismissed without diagnosis or instructions regarding a continued treatment. She entered the hospital emergency facilities with extreme pain in her right side and right chest area. Blood was drawn, sonogram given in the area of pain. She was told the test showed nothing. She was given an injection to stop the pain. We don't know if the injection was a pain killer or cortisone or something else. She was sent home by ambulance with no discharge papers or follow-up instructions. I am very disappointed with the lack of care received. When pain persists and doctors give up on diagnosis and send the patient home something is wrong with the system. I'm sorry by I can't give Temecula Valley Hospital Emergency Room even one star. Worst hospital experience of my life. First of all, NO staff wore masks despite signage requiring masks, which is disgusting to me. My daughter had croup and was in distress. They had no idea how to treat her properly. Despite me explaining that she is prone to croup and knowing the exact drug she needed, the doctors and nurses neglected to administer the medication, which takes moments to administer, and instead sent us to the waiting area. We spent hours waiting in the waiting room until it became a dangerous situation where she was in true respiratory distress. The security guard was moved to bust through the doors to the back area where all the staff was. He was yelling that there was a child who could not breath. They finally came out after I started screaming for help. The nurse spilled half of the medication on the waiting room computer keyboard, shrugged and still tried to give it to my daughter. I stopped her and told her to start over and ensure my daughter got the full dose she needed. I was appalled at the lack of professionalism and the lack of care. From there, we were moved to a STORAGE CLOSET where I sat holding my daughter for more hours (all in the middle of the night). I asked for testing (RSV, flu, and COVID) and the doctor pushed back on me and said it didn’t matter/wouldn’t affect treatment. What a moron of a doctor. It’s important to know what is causing her symptoms regardless of treatment. We were traveling from across the country and did not have the ability to go to our PCP for a follow up. We were also going to a wedding that weekend and I thought we should be responsible and find out what my daughter had. I demanded testing. They finally agreed, though they really tried to wait me out. They told me to call later in the morning for the results (it was 6am by the time we left). We left and called later and were told no test results would be available until Monday because the testing center was closed. (? !?) There are rapid tests that could have been done for all 3 viruses right there on the spot in the ER. They could have told me she had COVID before we left the hospital and we wouldn’t have exposed like 150 people. This was in mid-July and I just received the bill. They charged for SO MUCH that never happened, which just adds salt to the wound. We had to go to the ER again the following night and that time we traveled farther to go to a better hospital with a pediatric wing (Rancho springs medical center). It was at the 2nd hospital that they were able to check our test results from the night before and informed me that my daughter had COVID. Temecula Valley hospital was pathetic and horrible and I would NEVER go back there.

Check in was the only very negative experience. The check in/triage nurse basically told me I need to go see a dermatologist and that I would be waiting a long time. I showed up with hives all over my body- covered head to toe and was miserable.once I saw the doctor she got me right back and began 2 different iv meds. The doctor was awesome! The nurse that attended me in back was amazing. The woman who registered me was amazing! Everybody was fantastic but the triage / check in area. I almost left and considering I needed IV meds I’m glad I didn’t.

Nurses were very lazy and reluctant to pay attention to the patients and beeping monitors. They were busy talking about their fantasy football roaster. I was symptomatic bradycardia, palpitations and near syncope. They had me wait in the lobby, then give me 1L of IVF without any evidence of dehydration which cranked up my blood pressure from 130 to 150 within 20-30 minutes. They failed to address my bradycardia. I will dip down to 46 beats per minute and they sent me home with recommendations to see the cardiologist outpatient. They didn’t even have me on monitor to take a few minutes of cardiac rhythm to monitor my rhythm changes during those episodes of palpitations when my heart rate dropped to 40s. I am an RN, and I have been an ICU and PCU bedside nurse. It was disappointing to experience such sloppy care at TVH. I will warn my patients to avoid this place for their care needs. I had such high hopes for this place.

The staff was friendly, I’ll give them that. Even though masks were “required” in the emergency room, many front desk staff wore masks not covering their nose, or under their chin. Many patients waiting to be seen were also not wearing the required mask over mouth and nose. Care was mediocre at best. I went in for a breathing problem but was never examined and they never even listened to my lungs. I bet they charted and charged for a full exam even though one was not done. I’m a retired nurse practitioner and my advice to you is to find a safer, more professional hospital that follows standards of care. TVH was terrible. I would never go back.

I had an excellent experience at TMVH! I went in for acute gallbladder pancreatitis and had gallbladder surgery on July 30,2022. The medical teams, residential surgical and gastro were dutiful and thorough in their assessment and recommendations for treatment. Dr. Pham, the resident surgeon, was super kind, knowledgeable, and patient with all of my questions. Hospitalist, Nicole Thompson, is brilliant and takes the time to explain health conditions and procedures. ALL of the nurses and CNAs (some of the names I recall are Gabby, Jo, Stephanie, Ada, Paz, JoJo, Kim, Debbie but there were more) were outstanding! Although my interactions with Dr. Cordero were brief, I understand he is an excellent surgeon, and I liked him very much. I had a follow up with Dr. Cordero on August 9,2022, and he was pleased with the progress of my recovery.
Due to my circumstances, I could only consume liquids for a couple of days, but once I was able to eat, the food was delicious! I do not think it was just because I was starving either) Thank you for the opportunity to review TMVH!
Warmly,
Lori Bryant

Well this is my experience with the doctors and nurses of this disgusting hospital, I was indignant with the way they treated my father in this place it was negligence, my father was malnourished pale physically neglected very poorly cared for he was dirty they did not bathe him in One month he was hospitalized, they put the catheter to urinate badly, he was bleeding from his private part, it was so bad that if it had lasted more days, I don't know what would have happened, thank God I was able to get him out and transfer him to another hospital where they received him very well and they were outraged by the way those doctors treated him, how they hurt him, how weak and careless he arrived, they gave him food that was not adequate for his state of health, it was not nourishing him enough, he had never felt so angry with people how I felt with the staff of this hospital

I feel I am in good hands if I ever had to come here or my daughter or family member needed to be seen here in the ER again. I hope the integrity and work ethic of this hospital continues to stay in good shape. Working at a hospital is a very sacred and important job. I hope all working here have pride in knowing Temecula and surrounding areas rely on them doing a great job. Thank you!

I know it was a weekend and it my first trip to the ER. This trip was long and it seemed like no one wanted to deal with me. I was sent away after 5 plus hours in the ER room with a prescription and call your doctor next week response. It was not pleasant day in the ER room. This experience will make me think twice again about going in.
