Great little museum!
I could have spent more time there but because of visual impairment I could not read all the displays. I did not ask if audio display explanation was available?

We were so pleasantly surprised there was so much history here and an exhibit about the author of Perry Mason!

Educational, interesting. Enjoyed displays of hooked rug artistry & meeting the artists as well.

Lovely. No admission fee and the payment is only based on admission. How can you find a museum like that? Truly a real gem.

ARTIST, BEWARE! I was invited to display my paintings at the museum for two months. I was given a contract to sign, saying that the museum is not responsible for any damages to my art work. I hesitated to go ahead with the display because of no assurance that my art would be safe. I discussed my concerns with the woman in charge of paperwork. She was very reassuring, saying there was no danger of damage, that a professional art handler would be hanging the paintings and taking them down, and the clause in the contract that I was concerned about only applied if I insisted on hang the art myself. After a lengthy discussion, she convinced me and I brought my work in for display. I went to pick up my paintings and noticed damage to my largest painting. It had several scratches and an inch long hole through the canvas. Someone had covered the hole with a piece of black tape. When asked what happened, no one there seemed to know what had damaged the painting. The manager said I'm sorry but you signed a contract. ARTISTS, BEWARE!

Went with my 5 kids and everyone liked it. The highlight for them was the kids area that they could play and learn. Will go again for sure.

Lovely place, everything you wanna know about local history and more, receptionist is very friendly, my girls loved the kids exhibition. Also it's donation based, $5 minimum, how can you go wrong?
