I signed up my 12 years old grandson for Tenacious Academy’s week-long tennis camp (half day each day). On the first day, when I came to pick him up, he begged me to let him stay for the rest of the day. When we came home that day he fell asleep on the couch. He was tired, but really loved the experience. This camp provided a good tennis practice, different games (related and unrelated to tennis), various physical activities, healthy snacks (no junk food, but lots of fruits). The kids played different games, such as Around the World, TTF (Touch The Fence) and many others. There were various prizes given out at the end of the week. The camp had very friendly atmosphere and my grandson made friends there. His tennis game noticeably improved after this week; he became a more confident player. Most importantly, he loved it, had a lot of fun and made new friends. I would highly recommend this camp to anyone looking for a fun, friendly, activity-filled week for their children.

My 8-year-old recently had the opportunity to attend Tenacious Tennis Academy, and I must say, it was an absolute ace experience from start to finish! This camp was an outstanding choice for young tennis enthusiasts, and my child absolutely loved every moment of it.

First and foremost, the camp’s coaches and staff were exceptional. They displayed a remarkable level of expertise, patience, and genuine passion for the sport. Their dedication and ability to connect with the children created an environment that was both nurturing and inspiring. My child felt comfortable and supported throughout the entire camp, which greatly contributed to his enjoyment and progress.

The camp curriculum was thoughtfully designed, striking a perfect balance between fun and skill development. Each day, the children engaged in a variety of drills, games, and friendly competitions that not only improved their technique but also fostered a sense of camaraderie among the participants. The camp organizers made sure to incorporate age-appropriate activities that kept the kids engaged, excited, and eager to come back for more! They even had a watermelon eating contest!

What truly impressed me was the personalized attention given to each child. The coaches took the time to provide individual feedback and guidance, allowing my child to enhance their skills and build confidence. This personalized approach was instrumental in helping my little one improve their technique and develop a genuine love for the game.

As a parent, I also appreciated the camp’s emphasis on sportsmanship and character development. The coaches consistently promoted values like respect, teamwork, and fair play. It was an experience that not only enhanced my son’s tennis skills but also left him with a deep love for the sport. We are already looking forward to next year’s camp!

Really well run tennis camps and clinics. Jesse is great with our teens and does a wonderful job coaching them and encouraging them. I would highly encourage parents to check this place out for their kids!

We sent our kids to Tenacious Tennis Academy for weekly clinics and every summer for eight years from ages 5-12. They are now in high school and still return to Tenacious regularly for lessons from coach Jesse and his amazing team. Because of their time with Tenacious, our kids are now amazing tennis players owing to the teaching philosophy at Tenacious, where they learned about tennis technique and the importance of sportsmanship, hard work, and respect, lessons that have benefitted them both on and off the court. If you are looking for an environment in which your kids will learn how to play AND love tennis then I highly recommend Tenacious. Thank you, Coach Jesse!

I have been taking lessons with coach Qiang for just about 10 times and in the middle I always go on holiday for Christmas and new year and all kinds of things at home. But I found that not only I didn’t forget, but also I seemed to digest and improve slowly! Just like coach Qiang told me at the beginning: as long as you learn the right way, you will not lose easily. I'm happy to have this amazing experience!

My kid had a good time at this camp but unfortunately I can't recommend it, there were just too many issues. The worst problem was that when their water source broke (apparently it was just a hose) one day during a heat wave they didn't find alternative water source. My kid had one water bottle with him but that wasn't nearly enough and he was extremely thirsty when he got home.
Other problems: their website and confirmation email says they're open till 5 pm but when we picked up around 4: 45 pm they informed us that their actual "policy" is that pick up ends 15 minutes before closing (huh?). Also, apparently last year they lost a few kids on the SF State grounds and were banned from their cafeteria (luckily the kids were found later). Needless to say, they shared no info about any of these issues with the parents.

I brought my son to Tennacious Tennis last summer and he had an absolute blast! The camp is run by very talented tennis players who work with the kids on all kinds of coordination and skill building activities. The setting in the SF state campus is beautiful as well. Can’t wait to bring my kiddo back this year!
