Tequila Restaurant reviews
12This place is much more authentic than most whitewashed Mexican food in Merced, an the fact they don't serve alcohol keeps all the rowdy people out no crazy loud music like other places either which is nice, not having to yell to communicate, very cozy Bitchin food
We were impressed by the pupusas. They were very tasty. We also ordered some burritos and they were just ok. I didn't like the fact they had lettuce as I don't feel that it belongs in a good burrito.
Colorful, bright decor, friendly service, nice big portions, very tasty entres served with both rice and beans. Family owned, recently opened, and not able to serve beer with meals yet.
If you're going to have terrible atmosphere and a dirty restaurant with terrible staff at least have good food. Food was terrible staff was terrible. This restaurant has a really bad smell restaurant was completely filthy and the food was not good at all I don't know how places like this stay open.
Had hankering for Mexican food and most eateries in proximity had closed early, pleasant surprise on authenticity and robust flavors of the served food. A bit under-staffed, but a charming and colorful joint to get some spicy and delicious grub!
I went with my family for the first time, the staff was really really nice, she made us feel comfortable and special. The chilaquiles were DELICIOUS, the torta as well the only thing I think it need to improve is the horchata besides that everything was fantastic. Also the decoration made us feel like if we were in Mexico.
The staff was really nice, and it feels cozy. The food could be more flavorful, and the horchata as well.
Small, home-style Mexican restaurant, a real Mom&Pop feel to this place here.it is loved my the local population, but highly UnderRated among the larger, more general population. I am one of the former, not the latter.
The $1 been and cheese burritos are an often chosen item during my weekly routine. I really like this "not so little hole in the wall" place and I'd encourage you to feel it out for yourself; I think that you'd enjoy yourself there, as well as with a take-out order in your lap while parked at the local Creek for lunch.
Don't forget those homemade HotSauce doses either! (I prefer the GreenSauce.)
Enjoy!
New owner but those al pastor tacos and carne asada tacos were great with the grilled onions, the salsa was great!
Horrible don't eat here! Service was bad and food was much worst I came home and ate something better.
Great food at reasonable prices we will definitely return. Try the coffee it's delicious!
First time coming here since Hunan shut down but everything here is horrible no music no drinks besides water or squirt the menu has horrible descriptions of food and super tiny lettering.
Now my mom and I ordered pupusas and I can say we couldn't even finish it because it was so awful. And might I say if you're going to make pupusas please understand the basics of making one being Salvadorian we generally will ask for a "revuelta" if not cheese but they had no clue what that even was! Now flavor wise there was no flavor what so ever and hardly any meat, even the salsa tasted horrible. Would not recommend it to nobody at all
