Italian Restaurant Terroni reviews
19 Terroni, a hidden gem in the heart of the city, is a culinary haven that beautifully captures the essence of Italian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere transports you to the sun-kissed streets of Italy. The rustic charm, combined with the aroma of freshly prepared dishes, sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
Among the culinary delights that steal the spotlight are the grilled calamari—an exquisite masterpiece that embodies the artistry of simplicity. The tender calamari, kissed by the flames of the grill, offer a delightful combination of smokiness and tenderness that bursts with flavor in every bite. It's a culinary journey that takes you straight to the Mediterranean coast.
But the gastronomic excellence doesn't stop at the calamari. Terroni boasts an impressive selection of wines that perfectly complement the rich and diverse flavors of the Italian cuisine they serve. From robust reds to crisp whites, each sip enhances the dining experience, turning every meal into a celebration of flavors.
For those in search of authentic Italian cuisine, Terroni is a culinary haven that surpasses expectations. The menu is a symphony of traditional dishes, lovingly prepared with the finest ingredients to capture the true spirit of Italy. Whether you're a connoisseur of pasta, a lover of fresh seafood, or a fan of delectable desserts, Terroni's menu has something to delight every palate.
As an Italian myself, I can confidently say that Terroni captures the heart and soul of our culinary heritage. It's not just a restaurant; it's a celebration of food, family, and the joy of sharing a meal with loved ones. With its charming ambiance, exquisite grilled calamari, and exceptional wines, Terroni is a true testament to the magic of Italian dining.
Decorations were kind of cool, but not well matched. Server had an air of superiority and wasn’t super attentive. We waited for 20+ minutes for the card/check to be picked up, when it was clear we wanted to leave. Food was cold on arrival, clam pasta was sandy, and the menu was insanely pretentious. All the reminders of “in Italy they don’t use Parmesan on this so you can’t either”. A) that’s not true, b) if I’m paying hundreds for a dinner then put Parmesan on if I ask.
Very good food and pleasant place.
There is a lot of noise in the environment and it is difficult to talk and converse.
Great experience! Sat at the bar and felt like a part of the neighborhood. Bartenders were so nice and there were so many regulars at the bar. We ordered the margarita pizza, involtini di melanzane, clam pasta and chocolate cake. Everything was fantastic!
Lovely place with delicious food. We ordered pasta with seafood and pizza and 2 desserts as well. Food is delicious, cooked fast. My only complaint is that it was too loud inside so that we had to went away right after we finished with our dishes
2023 Still one of my favorite Italian restaurants in LA Great food, amazing service. A bit noisy
I used to go to the downtown la location until it (sadly) closed out. It was my first time at the one on Beverly and it did not disappoint! I had penne arrabiata (though it isn’t on the menu) but the waitress was kindly able to confirm they could cook up for me. My friend had a seafood based pasta. It was our first time trying orange wine (the only one on the menu) and it was pleasantly delicious and paired greatly with our dishes. For dessert we had cannolis. Cannot wait to come back again!
Love the food here and the service is some of the best. I do recommend trying them out if you're in the area and make sure to bring the family too.
Great little restaurant. I ordered lamb ragu with pasta. $25. Small portion and no sides. Pretty expensive. I also had Nutella filled fritters with hazelnut gelato. It costed over $10. Expensive or not the food was great! Service is great and very friendly. They have outdoor seating in front of the restaurant. Great people watching. Meter parking or parking in the surrounding neighborhood.
Delicious fresh Italian food. We were a family of 5 and everything we had was delicious apps pizza pasta and even desserts:)
Would love if they had bigger tables, but great food and will be coming here more regularly!
Waiters never look your way. They deliver food to table and that is it. If you need anything it will take a bit to get some ones attention.
They charge you a 4% “dining in fee. ” What is that? That is what a restaurant is. Pretty petty charge. They probably have a “dining out fee” too. Just make your prices 4% higher. They are the Ticketmaster of Italian restaurants.
Going to this place reminded me why I avoid restaurants on the west side in general now. I placed a to go order for one pizza and they charged me a 4% dine in fee. I understand that small businesses need support now, but this is incredibly dishonest no matter how you look at it. Won’t be coming back, i do not support restaurants that have no integrity.
I love this place, number 1 for pasta (and I could almost say pizza) in LA. The spaghetti al limone are my favorite on the menu but everything is delicious, and the portions are quite generous. The only down side is that they used to have a lovely patio at the back which isn't open anymore I believe, so if you eat outside you're a little bit by the road with traffic on Beverly.
The vibe here is light and awesome. Fun place for super tasty pizza and drinks. Good for the family, or night out with your special someone. For my lady and I it was a perfect light pizza before a nice walk to the Grove for a movie. Thank you to the staff at Terroni for the attention to detail and amazing service. We shall return.
The ultimate 7PM dinner reservation hack is booking a wine maker dinner. Terroni has a beautiful private dining room tucked away behind the restaurant haunted by some of the best wines opened in the city. This is where the wine dinners are hosted, and a great place to host a large party.
I am just disappointed of the portion of the lunch specials, I had sea bass fish and it was too small not fulfilling at all but overall the food (their pasta) is really good and the place is beautiful.
The restaurant is located inside a beautiful hotel with expectational people that should meet anyone's best expectations; unfortunately, I cannot say this of the restaurant.
The menu was as expected yet lacked any signature taste or continuity to the food served. The air conditioning system became more of the focus due to the heavy draft that added to its many challenges. The entrance offered a sense of high expectations. It was just a typical meal to satisfy a person's hunger and nothing else. I had guests and thought I had equally let them down. Passionfor in the kitchen by it's chefs was missing. This ultimately was what was lacking.
