Teske's Germania reviews
15Just EXPENSIVE. SORRY but a side and a main and 2 draft beers 1 full one small should NOT be 83.00! I enjoy nothing more than a Cold draft native beer but please.be merciful next time.
One of our all-time favorites, with awesome pork shank with potato salad, sauerkraut and red cabbage. In a charming old-world setting with great service.
This place is really cool. The food is amazing. The drinks were perfect. The atmosphere is unique. The staff are friendly. I have no idea why I waited so long to go here.
Went for Friday night dinner & enjoyed everything we ordered. About 1.5 ltrs of beers, followed by a sausage platter & sauerbraten with pickled red cabbage, sauerkraut & potatoes salad sides. Was a bit pricey ($40+ pp) with the amount of food ordered, but loved the diverse menu, so had to. Wonderful ambience and attentive servers.
They have Rüdesheimer coffee! Sipping a Wilhelmsbirnenschnapps, watching the Straßenbahn roll through the tall tree lined alleyway made me feel at home. The beautiful old ceiling architecture and open air atrium beer garden have me coming back for some Heimatsstimmung.
Quite literally walking into Germany here. When we visited Germany, you got these vibes of traditional German both cuisine and overall decor and service, I will attest to that. Munchen I see you! Awesome waitress too, thank you from Canada! Try the schnitzel and sausage (and more).
Friendly service great food
Come from the Dortmund area. Flown so far and still got my schnitzel great
Food is really good and wasn't heavy as I tend to expect German cuisine to be. Beer is really, really good. Atmosphere is fun because it's old and quaint, but it is a crowded space. Be careful of the uneven floors. The bar at the front was well attended but surprisingly quiet and calm. Our waiter was fun and kept everyone in good spirits while working a lot of tables. Six of us heartily enjoyed all of our meals and shared desserts. Took home leftovers cause portions are large. If you love bread be sure to ask for some, but beware it is heavy and filling and delicious. Only disappointment was the cucumber salad.just not like my grandma made.
If you are looking for good german food in san jose dont hesitate to check out this place.
I seriously love this place! I used to go here as a baby, and now I'm happy to say I can walk to it from my place after moving back to the Bay Area! Amazing food, fun atmosphere, and great staff! The weiner schnitzel is my absolute favorite. Their potato salad is the best I've had, and their Sauerkraut is always great! (I've been to quite a few German and Austrian places that don't nail their side dishes, and it's super disappointing.)
Food and service is always great but the table next to us was extremely loud and that didn't make the experience as pleasant as it was when we were there in 2021.
At this restaurant tonight we went into the bar with a watering hole. It was incredible. Great German bears.
I went with my friend I had to veal & she had the lamb it was unba.unbelievable
This is where you go with the man and the woman relax and have a great meal and we get through the looking at each other grow what just happened
This is a very unique restaurant and very tasty and your to go box with all the sausages and the mustard appetizers is incredible and when you have it with
eggs the next morning or two, you’ll know you went to the right place
I’m very picky, but this is a very special place. It’s family owned and this place incredible. If you wanna bite into a piece of meat asid from your favorite lady, this is the place to go. This place is fun in great food all the time. And this is my only third time hear. Take carefully take a look at it I’m gonna I’m gonna post this.
I enjoy Schweinshaxe, took my Grandson to Teske's for his special 21 Birthday. I was very, very disappointed, very dry, told the waitress, she just shrugged her shoulders. I only wanted her to tell the cook, that the Schweinshaxe was not edible.
The food and service were amazing! By far the best German mean I've had in a very long time!
