Our Tesla Solar Panels predated us as we bought this house with the panels installed and the lease totally paid for. We were grandfathered in to Tesla. There is extensive savings in out electric utility bill, because of the solar generated.
The problem began when we needed a completely new roof. Obviously the panels needed to be removed for this to happen. There was also a $499 service fee to do this. Even that was a fairly good deal, considering that the roofers must be specially qualified to do this work and those that are ethical are in scare supply. When one who is ethical is found, they charge per panel, not a flat fee. This makes removal and reinstallation almost as costly as the roof itself.
There is extensive paperwork involved in doing all this and I choose to tackle this ordeal by using paper, so I'd have hard records.
Ordeal? YES Indeed. So much so that I despaired of having the panels at all. I ran into smarty mouthed service personnel and others that were so incompetent that I wondered how they could ever even hold down their jobs.

There is NO polite way to say this.
Tesla's Customer Service is a Complete Failure.

It took SEVEN weeks from the time that I got started to the actual work crew to arrive, to get ANY any action on my job. They simply do not know how to do their jobs, but are quite good with delay tactics and especially equipped with skilled Smart Mouthed Responders in the call centers
The roofing project took less than a day. Then I had to wait for the work crew to come back out and reinstall the panels. These gentlemen who worked in 90 degree heat (which would have been unnecessary if the claim had been handled in a timely fashion) were quite polite and explained what they were doing and made some repairs as well as ordering a new panel. Which has not arrived yet. Weeks later now.

If you are considering Solar Panels for your roof, I DO NOT recommend Tesla.
If I could downgrade this rating to zero, I would.
I suggest that you have a detailed discussion about reroofing at the point of sale with the sales rep, or call some rep at the company who can discuss how difficult this simple process can become. Every roof will need to be replaced eventually. Tesla is looking for sales. They DO NOT CARE about their existing or grandfathered in customers. Every sale will become a service call.

I was doing a good delivery when the security guys treated me so bad! It was disgusting how they treated me, I felt so bad after all of the words spoken by him. He’s a black male, average height. And all of this happened today, May 19th. I’ll do my best to follow this complain to the mooooon.

Customer service is pitiful.

I called and requested service. They took over a week to get me the document that I needed to sign. I signed the document and it just sat there with no next step being taken. I had to call them to realize that they needed to send it to the next department. It was sent to the next department and they never called me once in the next month. I had to call them

I contacted them via online chat to have my service scheduled and the only answer they could give me is "Maybe someday".

I waited on hold for 19 minutes only for someone to pick up and not be able to hear me. They hung up on me an didn't bother calling me back. I tested my phone and found no issues with my mic.

I waited on hold for 19 more minutes only to be transferred and put on hold again for ten more minutes.

Don't know why anyone would buy a Tesla.

Shocking service and premium prices. I've also heard the cars aren't built in an environmentally friendly way. Diffuses the point of being electrical and sustainable!

When I bought my 4th Tesla on Sep 30th 2018, I had no idea that a few months later I would receive an invoice of over 70'000 USD for the outstanding amount of my 3rd Tesla I had purchased a year earlier.
Until today, nobody has taken a stand on my numerous complaints I have placed (in Switzerland). Since I am running out of time to process this case in front of a judge, i will be telling this story to everybody.nothing else, that's my new fulltime job!

I'm not sure what's wrong with Tesla, but you guys just cannot sell a car to the client. You just do not have simple CRM or any other customer tracker. Some random people are getting assigned to my case and then they are dropping and saying something weird (we need to rest sometimes too). I dropped trade-in already with you. And I'm thinking about dropping the order as well.

30 days have passed since I bought my car. So my 30 day tag has expired. How often do you need to call to get a bill of sale? Daily is not enough. This has been a horrible experience. How hard is it to send someone a bill of sale within 30 days of purchasing the car. Or simply another 30 day tag so I can drive my car legally. This is ridiculous! Everything from the delayed delivery to not doing the simple auto business day to day operations of getting someone the documentation so they can driver there car legally.

I've own a Tesla Model 3 since almost a year and I still love this amazing car. The only negative point I've to mention is the Premium Connectivity situation in Switzerland. Why do you replace a good provider for this important feature with a new one with such a horrible network (Sunrise) ? !

Worst car buying experience ever. Tesla has the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Loved the car took the Chicago branch a month to tell me at the last minute when I could pick up my vehicle which is 3 1/2 hours away and then I only had 48 hours to get there to get it per their guidelines. That was March 1 today is the end of July and then they have still not got me a license plate and every time I call or email either get no response or some story why they can’t get me a license plate for my lease vehicle that I put $26,000 down payment on. They claim it’s because I’m in Michigan and Michigan is anti-Tesla… And they say it’s OK for me to drive around with no license plate after nearly 5 months

Tesla sold me a car in Mexico and made a mistake on the invoices due to which I was unable to register for license plates. I spent several months of time, effort and troubles (since the police kept stopping me) paying for their mistake. They wouldn't even extend permits for as long as required, which due to the pandemic has been 8 months by now.

It’s just their hq, just a normal looking office building with a bunch of Teslas in front of it. When it comes to Tesla as a car though, it’s the best car I’ve ever had.

Waiting more than a week to get an ownership transfer for my Tesla App, and while waiting, AC stopped working in. Not what I have expected from Tesla

We came on a sunday so offices and facilities were closed to public. But we were greeted by a remarkable security guard, Peter. He offered to take out r picture, protect us from yellow jackets. And made our visit a little more colorful:)

Gorgeous campus for employees to feel at full comfort while working on site. The front of the building has a lobby/gift shop area with many hard to find shirts and accessories that are hard to find. Beautiful cars everywhere at the facility and in the surrounding area. The valet service is excellent. Parking is near impossible, but you can always walk back to the campus. Pictures are not allowed in most areas, with good reason, of course. A beautiful place where greatness happens.
