Tesla Supercharger reviews
11If you can find a charger that's not occupied by a car that's parked overnight for 12 hours, it throttles to 4.4kw most of the time
Good set of chargers. As enter sign points to the left. Just follow for 50 feet and you can't miss the chargers.
But Teslas always take the free level 2 chargers.so the free level 2 chargers are not available for anyone else.
Please start charging for the level 2 chargers so others can charge.
The good thing the Tesla fast DC chargers are never busy.
First visit to Brea supercharger.
Hard to find out the charging place. It's located inside the parking builging at B level. Nice and low price place!
Good place to charge, but some inconsiderate folks like to leave car at charger hours after it is done. You will ruin this for others, please be considerate, if car is done - move it!
Plenty of chargers, also plenty of nontesla chargers. But of course it's occupied mainly by Teslas. So plan ahead.and it's covered from the sun.
Chargers are pretty fast. During the week they are usually always available. On the weekend it's more of a toss up since people are out for brunch. It appears that they also finally put signs pointing to where the charges are. I can never remember whether to go up or down when I enter from the side where Ralph's is located.
The only confusing thing is that I think there are two parking structures OR this one is just really big and has multiple entrances, so if you go in through the other side it can be confusing. Love that these are free and charge relatively quickly compared to other chargers and that they have both types.
Chargers: 24 250kW
Trash bin: Opposite ends of chargers near exit to go up a level to shops
Restrooms: ? Maybe in one of the retail stores or Ralph’s market.
Nearby: Variety of places to shop and eat
Notes: B1. Enter from Imperial highway then to parking garage to the left of Ralph’s. Turn left on entry to garage towards the lower level -B1
At some point this was a great spot to charge: lots of chargers, few people using it. Today, all but two level 2 chargers were busy. Popularity isn't bad, but there isn't a "line" or any way to be clear who is waiting for a spot. As a result, it can be a bit frustrating when a spot opens and several cars make a beeline for the same spot.
That said, half of the chargers are free. When it is not busy, the level 2 chargers are some of the best free chargers for local residents. Being open 24 hours in a safe parking garage makes up for most the challenges.
If you charge here overnight, make sure set your charger to lock while charging. It's unpleasant to come back to a partially charged car.
Why are there no signs of the direction of movement to the charging station anywhere. If you entered through the main entrance then turn left. Look for level B1. This charging station is one of those that you need to find "solve the quest" in the parking lot, this is all you need and you can charge your car. If you could find a charging station, then everything is fine: wide convenient parking spaces, light and, most importantly, clean. It is so sweet. Thank you to the parking staff and visitors for tidying up and keeping this place clean.
It’s Basement level 1 (B1). Couldn't find it the first time I drove through, because the structure entrance almost forces you to go up.
There are 24,250 kW chargers in the basement level of the parking structure. It forces you to go up but make sure you go down to level B1. I was the only one here at 11 PM.
