Texas Roadhouse, Citrus Heights CA

This is my favorite place to get steak. I have never had a bad meal, steaks are always cooked the way they are ordered, service is pretty good, and it's still affordable. They have some awesome drinks as well.

I’ve done the to go order here a couple times and it’s just so frustrating. They leave out stuff. I’m assuming on purpose at this point. Because they will not add the stuff that I ask them to leave off. Conveniently they can’t read any further on the receipt ticket, and they can’t add stuff. Then you have to sit there go through your order. The people’s job who it is to make sure that you have your food are incapable of doing their own job for some reason. It’s just not worth coming back honestly. This is the third time in a row they’ve done it to me.

On top of all that the real kicker is they had a pre-selected 10% “tip” option. How kind of them to preselect a tip option for me, and to use my money to pay their staff. To be honest I don’t know where the money goes. Could be a managers hand. It could be corporate’s hand. Also if you ask for a tip before services have been performed that’s called bribery. And I’m confused, am I tipping for terrible service and this is going to happen either way. Or if I don’t tip you’re purposely not going to give me what I paid for. So steal from me and then probably claim it on that they just forgot. I would love to pull that same stunt inside the restaurant and just walk out with only paying part of my bill.

It took 30 minutes to get our drink from the bar. We had to ask for it before they even checked on it. The table we were at rocked so much that it spelled the drinks just to cut our steak. We had to ask 3 times to get rolls that we didn't get when we sat down. The we ordered 4 different steaks but ordered 3 of them the same way and two of them came out so raw we send them back then it took so long we ended up not even taking one. Took it off the bill but they charged for the baked potato so I thought that was wrong. It was not even that busy we didn't have to wait maybe 15 min. Usually the wait is an hour or longer. I was so disappointed this was for a late bday dinner for a friend and she never ate her steak.

Today was my second time here, my first time coming here was great 4th of July. The second time not so much. Came today with my cousin and nephew and once we were seated and given our silverware as I was unrolling mine there was hair wrapped in the napkins. So we requested some more but the ones the waiter gave us had hair in it as well. This is what you give to eat with our food? So we thought we were good and I grab my nephews fork from his napkin and more hair. By this time I was annoyed. It's disgusting. By the time the food came out we were given more silverware from the waiter who said she polished it herself. She apologized to us and said the manager would come over and talk to our table. The manager never came. So by the end we paid for our meal and before we left my cousin pulled the longest hair out her napkin. She thought it was hers but it was intertwined in the napkin. So gross. Whoever is rolling the silverware please put your hair up and wear double hair nets. The manager should have came and talked to us like the waiter said was going to happen. I would have tipped her more but we felt she was avoiding us as much as possible because of the situation. In passing she would drop our beverages at the tabl as she was tending to her other tables in her section.

I have heard good things from my neighbors about this place, went tonight for the first time and it is HORRIBLE!

Started out ok, then noticed multiple tables sending their food back to the kitchen.

We ordered at 5: 15, around 20 minutes later I noticed parties that came in after us were getting their large orders before us, our waiter was MIA for the longest time, our food finally arrived, at 5: 50 (I only know this cause I was facing the clock in their kitchen) my shrimp were cold, my steak like warm; my potato was hot though. Wife ordered the Pulled Pork and a side of ribs.pulled pork was dry and nasty like 3/4 of the way to being beef jerky, the ribs were funky looking, but ok.

Waiter came finally and asked if he wanted boxes as the plates were still full, we told him No, and tried to explain that it was dry and kinda nasty, his reply was “ok” and he walked away…. You never get a second chance to make a first impression…I should have just drove to Placerville to Hog Wild, cause this place is the Dennys of BBQ and steaks.

The flavor was out-of-this-world! The staff was fantastic every single person! Had a birthday dinner there and I got the Happy Birthday song. A pleasantly embarrassing experience but in a great way!

I Love Texas Roadhouse. We had 11 People and All the Food was Amazing and Very Cheap for the Quality!

Normally, the food in this place is delicious. My wife and I have made it a bit of a tradition to go to the Texas Roadhouse on her birthday. To make a long story short we both ordered the fall of the bone ribs, they were prompt in getting it to our table, but, they were so salty that they were inedible. We informed our server, he blamed it on the 'rub", we received no discount or any offers and left the place hungry and unforfilled after paying the full bill. The food was left on the table, Not a good day.

Always a full house here for a reason! Excellent food, service, and environment. Staff keeps it lively, they have good country music on, and they keep those hot fresh rolls and cinnamon butter rolling. We love coming here to eat until we can't eat anymore! Parking at this location can get a bit crowded as it's in a shared parking lot with other stores. Very kid friendly and wheel chair accessible.

A bit disappointed at how thin my New York steak was and the amount of fat on the steak. Meat was cooked perfectly and very nice taste. Server was awesome she seemed to have a sense when you would need something and appear just as you realized the want/need. Wish that I knew her name so that I could give her a shout out. Would definitely return.

Came there last night for dinner my DIL order a new York strip steak my son a rib eye, totally got them mixed up, then sent it back to get it right, mixed up again took over 25 minutes for her steak all the rest of us were finished before she got her food, spoke to manager. He was not very cordial said well I can't throw it away brought it home for dog.

Went on a Tuesday night, and the place was jumping! Way too noisy for conversations. Waiter was very attentive even though it was so busy. Food was delicious.

I got to pick my 21-ounce ribeye. It was cooked per request. The rolls are great. Had to break down and get the margaritas. Texas Roadhouse is my go-to local joint. Zero wait time 6: 00 pm on a Sunday.
