Worst Thai food I have ever had.

It’s been 1.5 years since I ate at this restaurant, but I recently made a list of places I went to and didn’t like to remind myself not to return, and this place was one of the first I added.

Let me start off by saying this place gives mom & pop shop vibes and is well-rated, so I anticipated the food would be excellent. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I ordered a Thai tea that tasted watered down and as if the milk, tea, and water separated. I opened the lid of the cup to stir and immediately found a fly inside. I stopped drinking it.

The food was greasy, lacked flavor, and the pad Thai was excessively sweet. It tasted like they straight up cooked the noodles in sugar. Not sure if this is a regional variation, but it tasted terrible.

Moving onto dessert, my group decided to order fried ice cream. It came out hard as a rock. We legit couldn’t cut through it without risking it flying out of the bowl. When we finally managed to get chunks of it off, it tasted like cold, hard, stale bread with barely any ice cream.

Given the lack of sanitation quality, the bad food, and overall condition of the restaurant, I don’t know how this place is allowed to still operate. Avoid at all costs.

This review is based on service and not food- unfortunately we didn't get to try the food. The establishment had about 4 tables of customers when we walked in. We were seated right away, but sat for 20 minutes with no water or menus! Made eye contact with two of the men working and neither acknowledged us. Instead of being frustrated or causing a scene, we decided to walk across the street to Cuti Thai. Best decision for us! Attentive waiters go a long way.

Great food had to order extra to go for breakfast. After a day of disneyland food this place really hit the spot. My only issue would be the drinks. My thai iced coffee had this weird taste and after trying the water i figured it was the cups that were used. Im not gonna take a star off cause the food and service was great anyways.

Thai Famous Cuisine is fantastic! Right when you park you know this place is special with the zany decorations. The service is great and kind. The food though? Out of this world. Especially the Tom Kha which absolutely blows other places Tom Kha away. If you like Thai food you should try Thai Famous Cuisine. If you don't like Thai food, then this place will change your mind.

This is a very popular Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. The restaurant is very clean. The service was great and fast. You will get free Thai tea (free-refilled!), free iced cream and coupon for the next visit. The food however was really water-down and the taste is bland. No where near the nearby Thai restaurant. If you know how the authentic Thai food tastes, do not expect that here. Plenty of parking spaces and there is outdoor dining area. This is a friendly handicapped facility. Friendly for family with kids.

We stopped by here for a late night buy and Thai Famous was open & more than accommodating. The friendly nice man inside gave us complimentary and left us looking forward to our next visit.

Was craving thai food, and came here at 11pm. Loved the food and service! They have free thai tea and refills + surprise Fried Ice cream for dessert! It was AMAZING!
We were 2 people.
Ordered:
- Spicy Chicken Fried Rice #5 spice level
- Tom Kha vegetarian soup #6 spice level
- chicken Wonton
The spice level 5-6 was very spicy compared to other thai restaurants. I love spicy food, and handled 6 quite well, but 7 would be too much even for me. So order based on your spice level

I can appreciate the random and loud decorations, but this was the worst restaurant that I've ever tried. The pad thai was so flavorless and the sugar was overwhelming- that's all I can taste. Complimentary fried ice cream was even worse. I guess people come here for the convenience but if you have standards and looking for edible Thai food, don't come here.

For me would not recommend it so salty for all dishes we ordered. Tom yum too salty, yellow curry a very tiny dish costed me 18$.

Food is very good however the dishes contained mostly rice and noodles and little protein on both dishes. It wasn’t crazy expensive but for the lack of meat in my dishes I don’t feel a value was delivered.

I came to compare their yellow curry versus Jumpa thai on Brookhurst.

This place wins and gave me free rice

Heard about this place from a friend and gave it a try. The food here is delicious, flavorful, and they have spice options for those who want more of a kick on your plate.

They're open late in the evening as well, for those who are in need of a late night bite.

Highly recommend this place.

I've never been to the actual location. I always just order thru door dash. It's always fast and fresh and delicious. They aren't a spicy type of place, so if you want spicy, go to the Asian market and buy yourself some chili garlic oil and add as needed. You're welcome.

Went here for my birthday years ago when I took a job that took me around here. The interior was eccentric as heck (which is a good thing) - there's an exhibit on the wall of a board filled with rows of ties. Tie-land. It was good. The food was also excellent, with the curry being the best I've ever had, with nothing that has come near what this place served. The icing on top- the deep fried ice cream they served complementary with the meal- top-notch. This was the second item on the menu which I cannot to this day find a satisfying alternative. I hope this place stays open, with its original recipes, forever.
