Thai Society Restaurant reviews
15I am a regular at this restaurant. Several occasions, when I order for pick up, my most favorite dish (fried banana with coconut ice cream) is not available. This is huge disappointment. Yesterday, I order for dinner and the person checked to confirm fried banana is available and I ordered two of them along with other menu items. I dove 14 miles to pick my order and I was told that fried banana is not available. Huge disappointment. To make things worst, after coming home, I found out that I was charged for two orders of fried banana. This is cheating regular customers!
My favourite thai place ever! Ive had food from other thai places and nothing compares to this one.everything about it is so good always get their chicken and rice, spring rolls and the mango sticky rice and its heavenly. 100/10 please try this place at least once.only downside is that its a little pricey but its soooo worth it
Tom Kha side of brown rice. Although tofu was chunky it only had mushrooms and 2 bites of tomato. I asked for 8 on spice level but got 0. I asked for extra chili just in case but got 1 tiny salsa container - it didn’t make a difference. I also asked for soy sauce for the brown rice and the lady told me they don’t give soy sauce for their Thai dishes and especially wouldn’t suggest it for the Tom Kha. It actually did taste too salty, so no wonder, but I wanted it for my rice so she gave me hardly any in the tiny salsa container. $12.39 for a small soup and side of rice. Being so Cheap will hurt business. Plus, the dining room is STILL CLOSED, as if covid is and ever was a thing. Maybe they can’t find employees which is creating this lack environment.
This has been my go to Thai place for almost a decade. I love their drunken noodles, pad see ew noodles, boba, and spring rolls. Fun place to go with friends.
Spring rolls were good, but the pineapple chicken rice was horrible. The pineapples weren't fried, tasted like they came straight out of a can. The rice had zero flavor. I wasn't asked how spicy I wanted my dish. The chicken had a wax type of rubber look as well as taste to it.
The customer service was not much better than the food. I won't be wasting my time or money on this place again.
Literally had 2 slices of carrots and 2 slices of potatoes in the yello curry lunch today!
We went there for lunch. We wanted to dine outside; the chairs were cabled together and locked. Asked if they would unlock chairs and were told it was raining; it wasn't. Asked if we could dine inside with a small dog, we were told no. Considering we are regular customers, we were very disappointed with their attitude and rudeness. You have lost good customers.
I’m easy to please when it comes to food, but OMG I just had my worst Thai food ever. No taste, missing the Potato in the yellow curry I guess the chef got overwhelmed and forgot to add it. Other entrees had no taste.
I hope they stay in business.
Food can be improved.
Do not waist your time and money.
We were served on paper plates! The chicken had a very odd texture and tasted fake. Very disappointed. Definitely not returning to this restaurant and I do not recommend it
I’m a huge fan of a yellow curry and I can’t even count how many of them I’ve already tried and how many Thai restaurants I’ve visited, always hoping for something near as good as curry from Thai society. Never happened.
It’s just delicious, and vegan! I don’t know how I could have lived without it before!
Wow - chicken pad Thai = LEGIT! Now I have a new lunch go-to spot. Take out only still. So good!
Shocked that this place doesn’t have all 5 star reviews. It is by far the best Thai spot in north county SD! All their curries are amazing (Tends to be on the spicy side) and we also love getting their drunken noodles. A must-try!
The best thai food in this area if you’re looking for a lot of flavor. Recommended to those coming from urban areas who are used to really good international food. If you’re sensitive to rich flavors or can’t handle spice, maybe go somewhere else.
Had a bad enough experience that it was worth posting about. They messed up the spice level of all our orders. I ordered a higher spice level than my girlfriend and her dish was unbearably spicy she couldn’t eat more than 3 bites before having to put it away, and my spice level was non-existent. They also forgot a salad my sister ordered, so we drove to pick it up and when we got it we found multiple hairs in it.
The best Thai food I've ever had but if you think different to my opinion let me know asap & I'll be willing to try another spot but for now I totally love their food & drinks perfect for date night. Hope they are thinking to open another spot & make it a big location to have more room to sit down & eat.
