Been going to this destination every year, unfortunately it looks at the fires have definitely affected the area. On our hike we did see a bear, remember we are visitors in their home respect the animals around you, and let them be keep your distance
Incredible history behind this landmark. The entire Crescent Meadow is beautiful. Come early in the morning to have a great chance at seeing bears.
It was wonderful! The temperature was great! No mosquitos. I was super excited walking the little trail. The color of the plants were yellow and green. It was just beautiful. The little benches on the side of the trail were perfect to rest a little bit! So many wonderful places to take some breath taking pictures.
Cool looking cabin carved into a tree. The walk out is very peaceful and beautiful. There are several different trails that lead out here, so you can take a different one out and back.
The well marked trail by Crescent Meadow to Tharp's Log is truly spectacular.the views of the serene meadow between towering trees is almost mystical and and if you like tiny homes like my daughter and I, this is the trail for you!
Tharp's Log is a fun resting place on the trail around Crescent Meadow, about halfway around the loop trail. The meadow is ringed with several groves of giant sequias, with side trails going off into the Giant Forest,
