The Alley reviews
16Absolute favorite boba spot! Great service and it’s always so clean. My fav is the Brown Sugar Deerioca Crème brûlée with Taro! They use real taro!
I went to get the Jujutsu Kaisen drinks, and I really loved Gojo and Geto drinks! I also got Riko, but since it was just milk tea, I did not love it since I am not a really big fan of milk tea. Anyway everything else was great!
Went for the JJK Collab, and immediately fell in love with this place! The drinks were nice and the atmosphere was great to vibe in. Also it’s in a really good area to walk around/eat!
Was shooed away when it wasn't even 10pm. Cashier was extremely rude but served other customers. I felt we were being judged by our race.
I ordered brown sugar boba and got few boba with cold milk. No flavor or sweetness, total garbage, two high school kids running the shop without prior experience.
Buying something to drink. The front desk looked unhappy. I bought a 6-yuan milk tea and drank it as if we had a life-and-death feud. The taste of the drink was extremely bland. After changing the boss, I no longer have the same feeling I had when I was in high school two or three years ago. The air conditioning is not turned on in the summer, but in the winter the door is left open to let in cold air. The sofa has not been cleaned for an unknown period of time and is full of dirt. If you really don’t have money and don’t know how to run a business, then don’t lose your brand. A lot of shit.
The 7 yuan yogurt tastes like water, which is outrageous.
7 dollar yogurt tasting like water. Freaking insane.
The boba taste fine but it takes so much time for them to make my order. The cashier at the front desk smelled disgusting and even the items she gave me had the same stench as hers. I really don't understand why you would hire an employee who smells bad, it could affect the entire store. It gave me a very bad experience and I don’t want to come back in the future.
I came here a few days ago and ordered brown sugar pearl milk tea, taro pearl milk tea, fragrant but not too sweet milk tea + QQ smooth and fresh pearls, so chewy that I will go there to buy them every time I pass by! Love the atmosphere of this store, clean and comfortable!
There is also a waitress who is also very friendly!
"The Alley is a boba lover's paradise. The boba is absolutely delicious, with a fantastic variety of flavors to choose from. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit spot for any boba enthusiast. Highly recommend! "
I went to buy milk tea with my friends today, and it looked like she owed me money at the front desk. Looking at her and the young lady standing next to her on the roadside, they look like newcomers, they talk the same way, and their service attitude is really bad.
I came on a pretty busy Saturday evening for a quick boba fix to complement my to-go meal. Parking is quite a challenge at this plaza on a busy evening. When it's pretty full, your best bet is to park underground or towards the rear. For some reason, the outside signage was not lit up. However, the ambiance was very cozy yet vibrant. This location is smaller compared to the one in Fountain Valley. I'm truly fond of The Alley's wall on the right side, in front of the register.
This time, I ordered a large Matcha Brown Sugar Deerioca with Oat Milk. Little did I know that boba was already included in the order. I got my order within 5 minutes. As I waited for my drink, "Roller Coaster" by ChungHa was playing on their playlist. I vibed well with it and decided to lip sync it while seated and waiting for my order. Hahaha. In terms of aesthetics, it was Instagram worthy before shaking and until you take your first sip. (Make sure to take pics of your drink before sipping or shaking it.)
Honestly, I tasted more matcha flavor than brown sugar. I was expecting a balance between the matcha and brown sugar flavors but it wasn't as sweet as I expected. But thankfully, the drink didn't make me feel bloated or overwhelmed with its sweetness level. I shook and mixed it, but it was quite lacking some sweetness. I'm not that disappointed, but I'll probably order a different deerioca drink or another flavor on my next visit. Don't worry, I'll be back soon.
TlDR: drinks good but prepare to wait at least half and hr.
Drinks are good to be honest, but it always take 25 to 30 minutes to get just two drinks, regardless if the place is busy or not. Like tonight I came and it was not busy. There are like 4-5 people in the back, so it baffles me how slow they can be. Only one person seems semi hustled and the rest just go about their day. I guess good if you are a worker, just not so much for the customer. They also make ine of our drinks wrong, and yes, no hustling or rush to remake it. Since I do like their tea. I will come back again if I am in the area and feel like I have time in the day to waste.
It's TOOOO SLOW! We ordered two milk tea and we waited 30 minutes for just 2 mill tea. It seems unreasonable that only one employee is making the drinks.
The girl at the front desk who wears glasses is very cute. I wonder if she has a boyfriend.
Will go again. I only popped in to get take-away but I was struck by how friendly the service was. The drinks were wonderful too!
