I’ve been looking for a new massage therapist for a while. Eric set me up for a 90 minute full-body with the intention of finding areas in my body that need extra attention. I was greeted by Eric and his daughter and was immediately put at ease with their professionalism and kindness toward my needs. After an initial consult and brief medical history discussion, Eric worked his magic. HE has had many years of experience and it shows. He KNOWS the physiology and inner working of the human body - that’s important to me. The Atmosphere was super pro, as was Eric in everything he did during my session. I left The Art of Massage feeling loose, limber and lighter all over - and immediately asked to book again soon!
This will be my go-to for massage therapy. If you are an athlete, or just an active person, your body will thank you on the regular for keeping those muscles smooth and supple with consistent massage each month. You will not be disappointed with this place - So glad we have a business like this in Merced! Many thanks Eric!

Vanessa T.is a master with her corrective work and deep tissue work. I train multiple sessions a day with my personal training clients and her massage therapy has kept me injury free, strong, stable, and optimized my recovery for my own, and my clients fitness! She has helped me recover from nagging injuries and is extremely knowledgeable, I’ve learned a lot about optimizing my own muscular functions in her sessions! Always leave feeling rejuvenated and energized! Won’t ever use another massage therapist outside of Art of the Massage, proud to partner with them and run my business and gym in the same building! I have been here twice now, more times at their prior establishment, and I have had great experiences each time. I receive deep tissue sports massage from Eric, Vanessa and Vanessa T and they do a great job at targeting tensed muscles. Overall many therapy treatments to choose from, 10/10 recommended.

I am moved by an extraordinary individual, Eric, to write my first review. I am in my fifties, fluffy and a female. I was hesitant in coming to a masseur for reasons a fluffy female in her late fifties would likely understand. Eric was highly reviewed, and pain sat in the bottom of my foot - a nice tanned foot, pedicured, with no hang-ups, great esteem and confidence. My foot and I decided to give it a try. From the first moment I met Eric I was put at ease. He was warmly genuine, pleasant and professional. The hesitancy was left at reception. My first massage was a lesson in humility and physiology. Humbled that a young person could be wise, compassionate and assertive in his discipline. And I was schooled in the biomechanics of muscles and the innate interconnected intelligence of the body. I found that my foot was indeed connected to the ankle bone, the shin bone, et el through a full body massage. Eric is skilled and passionate about the science of his techniques. He has a sense of humanity, gratitude, joy and commitment in serving his clients. Each time I leave, I too feel gratitude not only for finding Eric, but gratitude in the miracle of our bodies and the mindfulness that occurs with healing.
