The Bagel Shack, San Clemente CA

This is about the 5th time I've been here and each time I've enjoyed my food. I think I've had about 4 different breakfast bagel sandwiches now. The service is good and even when they are busy they still do a great job of getting orders out fast to move things along. Definitely a staple in the area.

Is there anything more wonderful than the smell of freshly baked bread?
If you have made your own homemade bread, you know the feeling, all toasty.
We happened upon this Shack by acccident. Happy accident!

Disappointed this time. Lox sandwich $15. From San Francisco and they’re not that high even there.
Very skimpy on the lox and forgot the red onion completely.
However, the bagel itself is really exceptional.
I’ll be back but just order plain bagels to go.

One of our local favorites! Fresh and delicious bagels, bagel breakfast sandwiches are SO GOOD! My kids absolutely love The Bagel Shack, as well!

Parking can be tough, but we expect that, so you just roll with it. Budget extra time if you need to - the food and experience are worth it!

I come here so often, I get my own stocking at Christmas. Love the owner—Brock is the best.

I enjoy a good bagel but maybe it was an off day for this location. All the bagels I bought were a bit salty. The customer service was not the best either. If you are not a morning person probably not the best place to work at. Cashier was not too happy to do just a bit extra like getting a bagel sliced. Oh that costs extra too I found out.

Delicious breakfast sandwiches (eggs and cheddar, perfection). Limited seating so be patient while waiting for a table.

So I really enjoy the bagel sandwiches. I would normally give a five-star review, but I actually turned around and walked out of there this morning. I know there's inflation going on, but they've pretty much doubled their prices, and paying $10 for a bagel sandwich with egg and turkey, that I'm still hungry afterwards, so I usually get two of them, well, that just doesn't compute for me. They're everything bagel is pretty tasty, and I absolutely would like to go back and eat there again, but when I can go across the street for a burrito that's twice the size for the same price, I just can't justify eating here again.

We were really looking forward to trying this place after hearing so many good things about it. Hmm, unfortunately we were disappointed and don’t plan to be back (unless we get takeout). Food was good. Service was 1/5 (the young guy behind the register clearly had better things to do than to take our order and call our name when ready). Music and atmosphere was cool, but tables and floors were not clean. Wish I could give them more stars…

Bagels were slightly on the dryer side, might have been the breakfast sandwich I got, but it was still good though.

Lowered review because I got iced vanilla latte today and it was gross tasted like cigarettes. No vanilla flavor at all

This place used to be amazing. I woke up at 5am to drive from San diego just to get their bagels with strawberry cream cheese. Apparently this is the new cream cheese. It looks like cake frosting, isn't fresh, not memorable at all. When my wife asked the girl at the register which cream cheese tasted better between the strawberry and the berry she said she'd never tried any of them. Why work at a bagel shop if you cant explain to the customers what things taste like? Where did customer service go? This will be the last time I make the trip when visiting in the area from out of state.

Cute place fast and friendly! Great coffee and bagels eating outside is pleasant beachy fun.
