The Bayshore Hotel San Francisco Airport - Burlingame reviews
18A very dated motel with active construction. Rooms are of good size, but very dated with old carpet and bedding. There's very limited toiletry (small tubes of cheap shampoo and conditioner) and old towels. Construction starts early daily (no mention when booking), no breakfast, dusty hallways and elevators (construction crew also uses the same guest elevators). Meanwhile, still charges close to $300/night. It's in effect a rundown motel in the process of being upgraded.
Under renovation, only two floors open that are not renovated. Pool, fitness room, etc all closed. Noise from construction from 8: 30 to 5: 30.
Currently under construction, hence loud noises throughout the day. No room service (I stayed two nights). Extra charge for parking.
Oct 2023 Hotel is under construction and being converted to a marriot. Basic room 10 mins to SFO
Clean rooms, pretty nice view from the upper floors, clean grounds to walk around. There was some construction going on from 8am-6pm but I wasn't there that much during that time frame. Nice place to stay for a business trip. The one downside was that it was kind of far from restaurants.
Place is pretty beat up. Staff seemed friendly. Lot of construction and no shuttle to the airport. Spend the extra 15$ and stay elsewhere because you’re gonna spend here on an Uber with no shuttle.
Unbeknownst to me, the hotel is being renovated. Which means non-stop noise from 8 a.m. To 6 p.m. Moreover, the dining option advertised online (a restaurant in the hotel) was a lie. It's a place to put your head down for a night. Nothing more. (Given the location, the price is reasonable, hence the second star.)
Front Desk Agent Ruben was GREAT! Very kind, welcoming & attentive! Will definitely stay here again if i’m in the area!
Very old hotel and it seemed that it was being sold. Old furniture and the beds were very uncomfortable. The front desk staff were not very friendly and it looked like they did not want to be there. They did accommodate a late checkout though for a gold member. Location is great but I would stay at a hilton property nearby which is much better and similar rate.
I don't know how to explain this hotel. First of all, I love it. I didn't really expect to, as I chose it because it was the least expensive Bonvoy hotel in the whole of San Francisco. That said, it's anything but a cheap hotel. It's convenient to the airport and you can easily drive anywhere you need to go to be a tourist. The rooms are clean, comfy, and spacious. And the staff are amazing - hands down the friendliest humans I've ever experienced at a hotel (and I've traveled extensively, staying in all kinds of hoteals from$ to $$$$$$). I would 10/10 stay here again.
Ruben. Have no words for his service- maybe top teir?
Very clean hotel. Beautiful view.
Nice gym, good food, and great staff! Ruben at the front desk is the best! Very professional and always makes my check in quick and easy!
My husband, two daughters and myself took a trip to San Francisco, we had booked a room for a downtown location and had to cancel immediately. The downtown area was HORRIBLE and extremely UNSAFE. We searched around for a better (safer) location. Ruben Lopez was the front clerk on duty for the. Ugh at the Bayshore and greeted us with a warm smile despite how late it was. He was exceptionally professional and made our decision to stay at the Bayshore an easy one. He showed compassion and even offered local options for meals. Ruben displayed a professionalism that was warming and endearing, he really made us feel welcome and our stay important. I can’t say enough about Ruben, I only wish other hotels could employ and instill the same virtues as Ruben has in him!
I'm posting this review for the sole purpose of warning others TO NOT BOOK HERE. This hotel was absolutely terrible for every single criteria. When I arrived for my one-night stay before an early flight at SFO the next day, they informed me they'd be losing power for the night and 'sorry for the inconvenience'. There was never any attempt to contact me prior to my arrival and while the claim they didn't have notice, the printed letter I was handed upon check-in was dated TWO DAYS prior to my arrival and said,
"scheduled power maintenance activity that is planned for tomorrow". Apparently they did have notice and still chose to allow customers to stay WITH NO POWER. Never again. Marriott must do better.
The worst service/ experience of my life? No professionalism? Even the front office manager Brittany Charter was surely racist and very rude to me and other customers. Marriott need to check on that location. Good luck going there.
Hotel change. Now a Marriott, soon to be Hilton.
Not up to Marriott standards. Employees were great!
Can't change your room style if you book Expedia. $20 a day for parking, but no shuttle.
Not a good hotel to stay overnight near SFO.they don't have aiport shuttle and charge $20 per parking. No benefit for Marriott Platinum members and Front desk doesn't understand about the status at all. So, I had to explain myself to them. For the final bill, the charged twice for some items.and it took a month to solve the problem. Never stay again.
