There are some places that just radiate good will and genuine kindness, and this is one. I went in needing a tube patch and no idea what I was doing. The volunteer staff were incredibly patient and kind as they showed me how to patch, and when I tried to pay they said it was on the house. I left a donation and plan to come back soon!

It's a non profit organization, featuring volunteers helping those that need their bicycles fixed, and some bicycles given through donations, for used parts needed on other bikes. NHK filmed there in February 2022, for Somewhere Street.

Great experience! These guys were so helpful and committed. They helped with several issues on our tandem bicycle. My wife and I felt a very good vibe in this place.

Ive been going to the Kitchen since they first opened on Heliotrope st.bout 15yrs ago. No one gets turned down for lack of funds still holds true. The volunteers along with all the enchanted bicycle donations make the bike kitchen a magical experience each time i visit, its a slice of heaven here on earth.

This place is the cool oasis on the hot desert of trying to find actually cooperative bicycle co-ops! The model all should follow! Very experienced mechanics, an infinite cache of parts and tools. Mechanics have always let me do my own thing with gentle assistance and knowledge. I love bico cocina

Helped me 14 years ago so I could get to high school. Helped not so long ago to get back on riding. Most knowledgeable, helpful and patient people I've met. Come in, customize a bycicle to best fit you style and ride on. Places like this MUST never die.

The bicycle kitchen is a very beautiful nonprofit place.
They do a lot of work that is very well needed, I think they should have wanted every city to help the kids learn about the bikes in how to fix their own bikes

Super fun DIY bicycle shop! The staff (cooks) will make you feel right at home, if you have any questions feel free to ask them. If you don't have the means to pay they will work something with you just let them know. If you would like to volunteer make sure to sign up; New volunteers are always welcome!

Volunteers like Peter is what makes the Bicycle Kitchen so special. This is why I tell friends and family who are interested in buying a bicycle, this is the place to purchase one at an affordable price.
