I'd like to share my story for anybody interested in moving here. First, when I moved into the apartment, surface level it looked good. However, shortly after going through the apartment I noticed large areas of wax stains and crust all over the master bedroom. The first day I moved in I brought this issue up to management- Irene and Daisy- and they stated they would have it cleaned again. Needless to say, after a few carpet cleans it never came out and I was told they were not going to replace the carpet nor clean it again. Finally, I gave up and moved in. The first night after moving in was a complete and utter NIGHTMARE. There were cockroaches crawling all over the bathtub, drains, walls, and doors. After the worst night of this, I brought the issue up to management the next morning to be told the exterminator that comes once a week would be there in 2 weeks per Irene. After continuously fighting with management, they finally agreed to have an exterminator come that same day. They continuously told me I was essentially making it all up, even after including many pictures of the cockroaches. Due to poor management and the infestation, I broke the lease and moved out. I only stayed there for one night but had to pay for the week I was "residing" there and paid for all the movers once again. Additionally, to top it all off, I had ring cameras installed and had an attempted break in the second night once I left from the roaches. This was reported to the police. PLEASE do not consider moving here. You will be treated poorly by management and they do not maintain the buildings. This is the worst experience I have ever had. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

One word for why this place sucks - Irene. She just took over about 3 weeks ago and most of the residents moved out.
You will regret living here. If you want to be harassed, bullied and threatened then this is the place!
PS: there are nicer apartments in the area for less. Don’t live here.

A quick note, or word of warning. I came here to check out a place after seeing it was a decent-sized place in a solid location. I read the reviews, got some iffy signals from what people said, but still came to check it out. I got a walk through of the place for a single bedroom, and was at the start pretty nonplussed by the small size of the rooms. The kicker, however, was checking the fridge and realizing it was full of mold. When I showed the agent in the same room, they took a look and had no surprise reaction whatsoever. Obviously not a life or death thing, but I got a heavy slumlord read from it and went from 90% sure I was going to sign a lease that day to never coming back. Your mileage may vary, but I'm very happy I stayed in the market for a little bit longer.

Horrible place to live - made possible by the Manager, Lisa. I moved here June of ‘22 with my family. Days after arriving we were warned about the management, or lack there of, and preferential treatment to long time residents. We were woken each morning when the neighbors were feeding the crows, harassed by the same Neigbor (Sonja #121), when we reported this nothing was done.

I travel over 50% of the time and come home to rest. I have a serious medical condition that requires me to sleep with a machine. The management was aware of this as I have a service animal.

After eight months, constantly being awoken each morning, and finally being sprayed by a skunk on my front porch, I brought this to Management and ask for some changes.

I was blamed for this incident, in the days following I discovered that Management gave my neighbor permission to feed the wild animals on the property against the lease agreement.

I work from my home, and this affectively destroyed my business and sent me to the doctor. I have moved my family, I am withholding rent, and I will be suing the management, Lisa, Fernandez, and the landlord, David Paige.

Heads up, if you move here, you will experience the same. Please be warned, Carlsbad is a wonderful place, this is not.
