I always have loved the ppl who work and volunteer at brother benos. I used to be one of many who slept out in front of brother benos. I always felt safe there.

This place has allowed itself to go to the craper, and aren't even helping people with giving them any kind of food or a lunch or help of any kind. All for sleeping too close, in which they are picking and choosing who to not help and who they will. So if u need help don't come here. Ýou will be better off asking a fish for help.

Thank God for Brother Benno’s. They saved my life with all the services and my son went into the rehab and graduated now is a sober. The recovery program helped my son get his family back and life back on track. Love the staff and volunteers and such a blessing to the community for all the help for the unfortunate. Brother Benno’s Foundation is truly a blessed place. Thank you for all you do.

We had a Celebration of Life for my mom. So we had so much food left and my mom being a member in her honor we brought the food to them.

I love what Brother Benos does for our community. I help feed the unsheltered with a street ministry that is restoring hope to those who are searching.

They are always accommodating here, and appear to be so without judgement. I'm wondering if they have jobs available a day or two a week so I can save up for achieving certain goals.

This place is awesome. They do a lot to help houseless folks. They have showers, a wellness bus so you can seek medical attention, and more. They try to help people get back on their feet and feel good, and it really shows how much they care.

These people are a lifeline for many of us. I came up from Chula Vista and had not had a *hot* shower in over a year. Now I have one almost every other day, and my skin is getting better. They never seem to be judging anyone. The rules are basic without making one feel they're back in jail. I really can't say enough about the good they are doing in the community.

I wanted to meet my friends for Christmas thanking them for all they have done for me and others. I met Ben and Mike and many others who contributed to improve the lives of others and themselves!

Brother Bennos Foundation provides the necessary nudge for people to survive difficult life stages. The foundation turns a lot of negative net externalities to society to a positive one. Wonderful people work and volunteer there as well.

Brother Benno is a great place to donate money, food, used clothing, and household items. They are one of the non-profits where you can trust to do what is right.

They help some and not others. Just as an example of how low life they are, one individual he supposedly opened a box from a mail box there over the weekend some time back looking for food. This individual has schizophrenia no resources whatsoever like he's on the street, so they banned him for acting up saying whatever he said to them due to his disability. The security guard, some schmoe heavy set dork w tattoos always prevents him from getting food in the mornings. They advertise as helping the needy the less fortunate dignity etc bs - if you were treating people w dignity then why do you refuse food to some specially ones with mental disabilities. That security guard there doesn't have the temperment to be doing what he's doing specially when it involves those with disabilities. I believe they get federal and state funding. But anyways, they need individuals who genuinely understand and aren't just there for a paycheck.

To their comment - Why even pretend? Was it too hard to offer a lunch bag? Wouldn't wanna put a strain on your resources. He says he doesn't go there anymore, other people in the area help him w food

Great source for struggling families. A recovery resource center for the ones looking a way to a free of addictions life.

I desperately went to this organization who says try support veterans with an urgent need for rent assistance. I submitted my application, jumped through hoops with my management to get the necessary documents, only to be played as a fool. The pandemic affected so many veterans, who lost their jobs and on the verge of losing their home. 211 referred me to this agency for help after my husband lost his job. After nearly two weeks, someone named Joe stopped answering my calls, my packet had been submitted for financial assistance, I turned my packet into Darryl, very hard person to get ahold of. Darryl submitted my packet, joe called to verify the documents. When checks arrived, week later I received NOTHING! I had to call to find out if they paid my management company. I Had to call DARRYL! ABSOLUTELY NOONE CALLED TO TELL ME THAT THE SAME PEOPLE WHO SAID I WAS GOOD TO GO TO SUBMIT THE PACKET, had in fact BOLDLY DENIED MY PACKET ONCE THEY RECEIVED IT! Horrible, traumatic, unacceptable. No one told me anything, I was in the dark, I thought my landlord/ manager was getting a rental check! Can you imagine being a veteran and brother Benno tells you to submit, only to get relief, and the following week, ignored and lied too. If it wasn’t for me calling today, I would have been screwed! I had to notify management that this organization is not, and clearly has never been, reputable and or takes care of veterans as advertised. DO NOT TRUST THIS AGENCY, THEY WILL LIE TO YOU, MAKE YOUR SITUATION WORSE, and most certainly have you jumping through hoops on EMPTY PROMISES. IM SOO EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND SADDENED BY THIS. I was bamboozled, as. VETERAN who served over 20 years for her country. They are lieing con artists! Stay clear!

If their was the lowest possible score to give them I would for being unhelpful liers. Marry in rental program lied for 5 months to me and made me runaround with 2 kids to pay the rent I couldn't afford to pay due to unemployment and she kept promising to help after 5 months and doing everything she ask she just says sorry you don't qualify. Who in their mind would say this after doing screening asking for all needed paperwork talking to landlord and last step disqualified. It's unfortunate she has this position when she has racist mind to hell only those who is her own kind and favorite people. Their is no one to investigate and ask why they are being unfair.
