The Buena Vista reviews
16I mean, where else are you going to go for an Irish Coffee in San Francisco? The place was hopping, but we got right in at the bar. This is such a fun place and awesome watching them make drinks! This is a must stop for anytime you're in the city! I go here every time! See you soon!
I recently visited Buenavista to try their Irish coffee, and it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, providing the perfect setting for enjoying a classic drink.
The service was friendly and attentive, making the visit all the more enjoyable.
Bar staff are not very friendly. Vibe isn't very nice. Not welcoming. Fake Irish coffee stuff. Avoid if you can but nothing else is open in the area at night so go out if necessity if you must. A dolla tip to pour a drink is a nice gesture. If you dont get paid enough even though the bar charge for a drink is extortionate get another job.
Tourist trap but it is worth trying. The food is just average but the history of the place and the location gives it a nice vibe. Of course, you try the Irish coffee. Don’t worry, it won’t make you fall of the chair.
Great Irish coffee, of course. But friendly and good - it's a touristy place but you feel welcomed and not like a rube. Good food too.
Atmospheric place, you can feel like in Westworld ;)
ps. In the first episodes, of course
This place is usually packed all the time. The atmosphere is great and the Irish coffee delicious
Let's see.we went for the 'nonsense' Irish Coffee and, while we were at it, we had dinner. Good atmosphere, good quality dinner and service. They should look at the quality/price ratio of the coffee. $14 for a 'mini drink'?
The last time I was here was 8 years ago. My favorite bartender has passed away. RIP Freddie. The Irish Coffee here is a tradition and so fun to see them get made. The food is great and lucky for us we got seats at the bar right away.
This place is such an iconic place to visit! The Irish coffee is so good & is a must try! The bartender is really accommodating & made a drink for us! Peanut whiskey (Screwball) & a raspberry liquor & it tasted like a peanut butter & jelly sandwich! Wow that was so good & my new favorite drink! Just on drinks alone between the 4 of us we spent $200.00 it was well worth it & we had a blast!
We had to stop in here while in San Francisco. The Irish coffee is a must try while here. The lobster roll was so so, the burger was good. We didn't have to wait to be seated. Staff was friendly. A little on the small side so I can see it getting crowded fast during peak times.
You already know that you have to try the Irish coffee. The atmosphere, sharing a table with strangers and the option for food always make it a stop on my trips to the Bay.
Super ambience and the hottest Irish coffee ever.
The prices are normal for SF conditions.
I recently dined at the restaurant for lunch and regrettably, I must express my profound disappointment with the service I received, particularly from the server, Alice (if I remember her name correctly). Her demeanor was exceedingly rude and unfriendly, which significantly marred the overall dining experience. Such discourteous and unprofessional behavior is disheartening, as it tarnishes the reputation of an otherwise respectable establishment. I hope the management takes this feedback into account to ensure a more pleasant dining experience for future patrons.
Great old San Francisco experience. Had the whole Dungeness crab and the coffee. My wife went with the crab cakes, which were good, so we stacked crab on the cakes, and they were stellar! Kids had the chowder and it was some of the best we had on our trip.
The people who attends is very kind and i enjoyed the food very much, specially the irish coffee
