Gebucht und 2 Tage vor der Anreise versucht den Vermieter zu erreichen, was völlig erfolglos war! Bis zum Tag der Anreise niemand erreicht! Wir standen in Los Angeles ohne Schlafplatz.
Selbst booking hat dort niemanden erreicht und hat uns dann freundlicherweise innerhalb einer Stunde ein neues Hotelzimmer besorgt. Es war dort einfach niemand erreichbar entgegen dieser Antwort hier

I've been trying to get a refund for more than 9 months and they have stopped replying to me. Covid-19 has been harsh on everyone, but we did cancel the bookings respecting the terms and conditions so we HAVE to get a full refund for the TWO bookings (and not only one as it's the case today). Very unprofessional and I and my relatives will make sure to book another hotel next time we'll be traveling to LA.

Overpriced as a hotel, affordable as an apartment, this place exists in another time in a different world. Which is a good thing.

This disrespect hotel I was looking for questions regarding a past hotel stay. The lady was so disrespectful and hung up after calling over 10x no answer. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The worst thus far after 20 years of traveling. Terrible experience.

Upon arrival was asked to pay up front even though we insisted on seeing room first. Was initially offered room that wasn’t as advertised. Upon luck second room showed was room that was advertised. Bed was not made and had to wait. Left within 1 minute of settling in room due to roaches in kitchen. Many attempts to call for refund to no avail. Answering machine is also full. Had paid parking that was shady due to no attendants nor was parking system working. No sanitizer or plan in place to show effort in combatting current pandemic. Plus side is that its a block away from Walk of Fame. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Worst service ever! I called them to let them know I would be a few minutes late for my check in time, (I called about 20 times NO ANSWER) I called Hotels.com and they tried contacting someone at the hotel and guess what NO ANSWER, i arrived at the hotel and the security said there was nothing he could do, I’ve emailed the hotel and still NO ANSWER, but when Hotels.com asked for my refund they were quick to deny that

Old unresponded to review:
I have been trying to call for a week now, both the main number and the managers number for a refund as we had to immediately checkout due to feeling completely unsafe as 2 young girls. One staff member running the whole place. Who we believe was high and didn't know what he was doing, we had to repeat ourselves 5 times to get through to him we were checking in and he still floated around lost, he was also dressed in ripped old mufti clothes. This place was falling apart, had temporary furniture, holes in walls. Broken tilted floors and the list goes on. No idea how it'd pass a building code. A homeless man who was also tripping out was in the lobby on the couches just chilling, moaning and spinning in his seat. No one is answering the phones, very upset. Just want my money back.: (

EDIT: Love how you write fake reviews and don't answer your phone or reply to reviews for the people who have actually stayed here and been disgusted. Never received my refund.

Since you arrive, they make you feel valued and with a very sincere smile. The rooms are so confortable and spacious. Any need one may have is resolved within the least time possible. In general excellent customer service and accomodations

Room was not as promised in phone conversation. Room assigned to us would not accommodate our family. Front desk would not offer a solution. We did not stay the night and were never able to get a refund for our room. BEWARE!

Booked a room for 6 days at 7pm get there at 9pm, only to find out that they only had check in between 3pm and 6pm. So why would they accept a reservation for that night? Was charged for a night, not refunded. At check out another couple was complaining about same issue. Not to mention the high room cleaning fee. Let's just say room was cleaner when we left due to our cleaning it. It took 4 hrs to get a TV remote. Was suppose to have 2 TV's but only had 1. The power went out almost every night. Couldn't use microwave at all. There were cockroaches. For the price we were very dissatisfied and felt like we were robbed by them. Do not recommend staying there. We won't.

It was a first-class hotel! I was not mistaken about coming to this place because all of my inquiries were excellently addressed by their polite crew. I am deeply impressed by how they handled the service correctly with no hassles at all. Your wonderful and affordable service was strongly recommended! Exceptional!

Room was amazing & clean & spacious. However, Timothy MADE this experience. He told us all about the history and made us feel like real Angelenos with all his advice for places to see. Great location as well, 10/10 would recommend!

Very unique spot and made us feel very comfortable/at home. Timothy was great at greeting us and telling us all about the hotel’s history. It really made our trip.

Stayed here for 4 nights out of 5 nights. (Due to having to leave early) Hotel is very old, hot water system did not work the entire stay with no resolution of fixing it. Spoke to staff about it not working and having to consistently remind them to go look at it with the response “oh sorry we will later” On the 3rd night we got Offered different rooms to shower in & on a night the hotel was fully book we had to shower in the staff shower which still didn’t have hot water to them find out there was a vacant room to shower in the staff didn’t check. We left early as we were fed up with not having any hot water and care. The manager said this was unacceptable and will arrange more than a nights refund for the inconvenience. (Which they have now refused to do) The floor boards are extremely loud you can hear your neighbours walking around & their music blasting.the air conditioning has not been cleaned as the vents stink and do not circulate fresh air in your room. Do not waste your money staying here!

An old converted apartment building that definitely still needs some work, the exterior looks run down and the interior gives a pretty bad impression.
However the rooms themselves are actually not too bad!

Our biggest issue, like a few other reviewers, was external noise.
We were woken a few times through the night by loud guests, dogs barking and howling in other suites down the hall (sounded like it was right outside our door, I got up and checked) and drunks shouting outside (we were on the top floor).

Some sound proofing would go a very long way here!

Timothy was the absolute best host! My friends and I came from Florida with no idea what to do and he made our trip amazing. Plus, the hotel is very clean and well kept. Amazing experience overall!:) Would definitely come back here.
