We LOVE using The Chimney Guy for our home inspections! They are prompt, detailed, nice people, and good at their job. Lance is our favorite, but when he's not available, anyone they send does a thorough investigation. At the end of the day, we always feel like we made the best choice with The Chimney Guy.

The Chimney Guy was recommended to me by one of my fellow homeowners. I am delighted that I took his advice.
From start to finish, I found this company to be professional, accommodating, accessible and terrific at follow up.

Lauren is the best front "man" a company could hope for. I asked countless questions which she answered promptly, comprehensively and graciously.

John, the lead tech, was excellent. He let me know that he was able to arrive early and continued to reassure me every step of the way. He was thorough, proactive, knowledgeable; and very important to me, he treated my home as if it were his own.

Chimney sweeping is not a clean job and yet, my home looked as pristine as ever when he was finished.

I would not hesitate to recommend The Chimney Guy.

Excellent service at a reasonable price. Repaired my fireplace and their senior inspector came back couple weeks later to make sure the work was done right.which it was.

Eddie T did an inspection on our chimney for the buyer of the property when we were in escrow selling our house. His report stated the following:

"the only solution I see is to demo the chimney down to the ground, remove the existing foundation for the chimney, and then pour a new foundation and install either a new masonry base, new firebox, new smoke chamber and then follow the LA plans above that with metal flue and metal framing, etc, OR one installs a prefab fireplace and prefab pipes inside a chase enclosure. Or one removes the chimney completely and doesn't replace it with a new system, ending up with no fireplace. "

The buyer ended up backing out of the sale after using that report along with some other shady reports to try to knock $200,000 off of the agreed purchase price. We did not believe the report so had a different chimney inspection done on our own. The outcome was a recommendation to fix a small crack and clean the chimney. Total price $300

Since then we have had another buyer go into escrow who hired a different company to do an inspection on the house and the chimney inspection came through with flying colors, no problems at all.

Two different Inspections post "The Chimney Guy" came back with no issues. My son had been living in the house for several years and had no issues with the fire place. The neighbor said the owners before that made a fire almost every night for 10 years, no problems.

DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY. In my opinion "The Chimney Guy" (Eddie T) either made up work to try to make more money OR was paid off by the buyer to give a bad report so that she could try to get the price down drastically. I have never heard of that before but have since been told by multiple contractors that it is a common occurrence. (being offered money to give a bad report)

I don’t recommend using their service. They came in and wasted my time. They couldn’t even find the problem let alone fix it.

Bart was fantastic, truly care about his projects. I have worked with them for years and always do a great job.

John was amazing! He was meticulous about making sure the fireplace was up to standard and safe. Above and beyond. Very conscientious and courteous, left clean and tidy, and worked so hard to make sure we had a working fireplace when he left! This man knows his stuff! Thanks John!
