The Container Store, San Francisco CA

Overstocked product stacked very high. Dark claustrophobic aisles. The staff was invisible and the prices outrageous.

The sales people and the security guard there are hostile it's like it's like they believe that non white people have no use for storage containers minorities need storage containers too

They are always out of stock. One thing I got from there was dirty even though it came shrink wrapped

Just fine, except the signage at the online order pickup that tells you to stay in you car but you have to get out to pick up the phone since there's no cell phone coverage so the "I'm here" function doesn't work.

This is the worst possible location for The Container Store! There's no parking. The nearest lot is a block away. Even planning a pickup is difficult.because of the one-way streets in downtown SF, one must drive 9 blocks in dense traffic to get from the garage to the store for pickup. Who thought this was a good place for San Francisco's only Container Store outlet?

This store has a wide variety of containers for every need on two levels. All seemed reasonably priced.

This is an experience for a pick-up only. 1) No Covid-19 health & safety actions for the pick-up logistics from the parking garage: made us use a telephone in the parking lot without having any sanitizer. (so gross and not safe). 2) A guy in the parking lot was super unkind, kept asking & monitoring us although we said we are here to pick-up for the pre-ordered one.

Best place to buy storage stuff and if you need a dream closet you may want to stop in for a look bring your closet measurements for a fast quote

I’ve never experienced this kind of online purchasing experience. I’ve waited over a month, still not shipped yet, no tracking number. Left tons of messages using their website, never replied. Called few times, no call back or picking up either. I guess I will just talk to my bank to get my money back:)

Safe and smooth experience at the store today. The staff were all prepared to open the door, provide a cart, and give us time for our exchange and shopping. They provided a top notch service and went beyond expectations to help us.

They are allowing appointment-only shopping and I'm grateful. It's not as convenient but is VERY SAFE. What a great team they have on staff!

Just got back from the San Francisco store. DO NOT believe their website.
It says in-store shopping OK, curbside pick up OK, , but once we arrived, the store associate told us that by appointment ONLY. It did not say that on the website, and it DOES NOT say that in front of the store sign at all. We drove 30+ miles one way and we only get told by the 2nd associate saying that " well, you should call first despite what our website said. " (Are you trying to tell me that such reputable store website is not trust worthy?)
There are 5 different groups behind us and 3 of them also saw the website info and turned around in disbelieve.
If there is any negative star (s) available, I will definitely give a 5 negative star for the false website information and terrible attitude.

Richard, the Manager at the 4th Street store in SF provided the most wonderful customer experience! He was so accommodating, kind and made doing business with the Container Store simply a pleasure. I am a long-time customer (e.g, my whole house is outfitted with ELFA and btw these medium like-it baskets fit perfectly on a 16" ventilated shelf) and the 5-star service I received from Richard will keep me coming back for more. These days, it's rare for store managers to have a vested interest in what you're trying to accomplish and go out of their way to take the necessary steps to get it done. Richard's approach to customer service was so refreshing and so very much appreciated. THANK YOU THANK YOU!

I used to really enjoy the container store but now I'm not able to find things like I used too. Was looking for that OMG experience I've had when visiting random containers stores in Japan. Dasio is more my taste these days.

If your looking for cool space saving articles and storage furniture then this is the best store I have ever been to for that purpose!

My favorite store to find containers and miscellaneous household items. Some of them are pricey. Randomly they will give discounts through their membership program. It's worth to browse the store as you might find items are on sale. Their return policy is excellent.

They had the little box with all the little compartments I was looking for, but the isles were full of boxes and pallets of products still being shelved.

Very specific shipping experience. If you are going to buy a lot for a move or remodel, sign up for their free perks program before you go and make your giant purchase.
