The Cottages of Carmel

I am very happy here at The Cottages. The caregivers are the sweetest ever! The staff is kind and friendly. I like the small, cozy family feel of it here. Even my cat is happy here and loves the attention from the caregivers!

I am a certified senior fitness instructor and fall prevention coach. I’ve been teaching an exercise fitness class at cottages of Carmel for several years now along with working with residents privately as needed.

The atmosphere at the cottages is very pleasant. All staff members are very friendly, respectful and attentive. Between the wonderful privates I’ve had the opportunity to work with and always friendly and caring staff it feels like I’m walking into my second home. When my father was still around the Cottages of Carmel was my first choice for a new home for him, sadly he passed before he had the opportunity.

As I think it is beneficial for others to see feedback from residents, I am typing this review for my Mom, Mary, who lives at the cottages. My Mom writes:

"Two years ago, I came to live at the Cottages of Carmel, and I am so glad I did. This facility is just beautiful. Upon entering, you will find a welcoming atmosphere, and the management takes a warm and personal interest in the residents. The staff is friendly and helpful. A daily newspaper is delivered to each apartment, showing the events of the day along with menus for each meal. I have some dietary restrictions, and the kitchen has been more than helpful in accommodating them. There are several styles of apartments to choose from. I have a studio apartment with a fireplace and patio, which has become a home for birds and flowers. I love living at The Carmel Cottages. "

The cottages are an amazing blend of home and help. Each resident has just what they need and the space to be as independent as they can. The staff is kind and friendly. Everytime I've been there to visit I've felt welcomed and supported.

I took my 89-year-old mother to visit the Cottages of Carmel, and we were delighted and impressed with our tour. Gina answered all our questions, introduced us to residents and staff, showed us a lovely one-bedroom apartment, and took us through the property. The atmosphere was friendly, and the high quality was evident.

Gina has been very warm, accommodating and helpful while we learn about the Cottages for my mother. She a pleasure to work with.

Mom has been living happily at the Cottages since February of this year. She loves it! Her favorite thing is mealtime with creations from the chef! The caregivers who work here are the best - they meet everyone where they are at and give loving, caring support. There are many activities and mom has many new friends. It is a beautiful location with new renovations. Gina is great- she gives tours and information and she explains all about living at The Cottages. Heather has a wonderful heart to take care of all of the residents as a nurse. Louisa, David, Gina and Juan are wonderful caregivers in the memory care unit. Take the time to come tour… you will feel at ease knowing your loved ones needs will be met is a caring and gracious way. My mom loves it here!

Walking Into The Cottages is always a great experience. Very friendly employees at every corner always ready to help in any way!

I appreciate the atmosphere, it feels like home when you walk in the building. The employees are kind and helpful and they care about their residents. I am a professional in the industry and we volunteer with the activity department, so we get to see first hand how Cottage’s of Carmel interacts and provides e attention to their residents. We have clients in the building and and interact with their staff on a daily. We highly recommend Cottages if Carmel.

As nephew of a resident at The Cottages, I can tell you that my Aunt is well taken care of. Before she moved into the community she did not like to do much but since moving in she has plenty to do and has many friends. I have dinner with her several times a month and the food and service is always outstanding!

My 92 year old mom has been a resident of the Cottages for six months. She feels so comfortable with the Cottages' caring and attentive staff. Very strong sense of community for all the residents. We are grateful to have found such a loving assisted living place.

My Grandparents moved into the cottages a few years ago and my grandfather is still living there. Over the last few years we have been met with so much kindness and care. Everyone is always so sweet to my kids when they come to visit. The rooms are very nice and the new remodel of the common areas is amazing.

Cottages of Carmel is a beautiful living environment that offers a safe, comfortable, respectable place to live. The residents are clearly happy. The memory care is fully activity for residents and leaves you feeling good about the care they receive.

Gina DiMaria is helpful and cares about the residents. She's always looking for new and engaging programs and partnerships for residents and the community. Gina is warm and friendly and always a pleasure to work with.

I work with this community as an outside vendor, the staff is excellent always willing to help when needed. The management team is outstanding. If I was placing my parents in a community this would be a wonderful place to tour

The Cottages of Carmel is one of the nicest Assisted Living facilities I have seen. They welcome the independent life style for those who are able and provide amazing options for assistance. The facility is beautiful, the food is good and the staff goes over and above on a regular basis.
They totally deserve a 5 star rating!

I went to this facility to enquirer about a place for one of my loved ones and I was so inspired by the facility and one person that made me feel so welcomed and important she listened as I explained what my needs where and never interrupted me and I had allot to say she was understanding caring and had the upmost respect and carried herself very well I enjoyed my visit and will recommend this facility to all my friends thank you Gina for a great tour and thank you for being you

My experience with The Cottages of Carmel, Carmel CA:
Caring staff. Appreciate that there are high level staff who are nurses who work on site. Med tech’s are responsive and helpful. So are managers, caregivers and activities staff. The facility is clean. In fact just doing some renovations that increase the sparkle features. Food is very good and tasty. Communication is open with family and those who assist the resident.
