The Excelsior, Studio City CA

Unfortunately, due to a recent string of events and lack of urgency from the emergency hotline, I will be amending my review to three stars. Everything else stands.

I love living at The Excelsior - the studio apartment I rent is very spacious, and the fact that it came furnished with new furniture greatly helped me with my cross country move to Los Angeles. The building is clean, safe and quite. The on site parking is a tremendous help. The staff is very friendly - the property manager, Sam, is always responsive and willing to help! I feel very safe in the neighborhood, and there is always something to do close by. I am so happy living here, and I would happily recommend The Excelsior to anyone looking to move to LA.

I have been residing here in Excelsior apt, the manager Kalissa is very professional in all aspects Bussiness or personal matter, she response in timely manner when situation arises, and the place kept maintained at at times.

Great place to live. Great area, decent price and Clarissa is a great manager……and they have a hot tub too!

Our favorite thing about the Excelsior (besides the amazing location) is the responsiveness of management. Because the property manager (Kalissa) lives in the building, there's a closer relationship between landlord and tenant than you'd typically find at a complex like this. Kalissa takes good care of us, as does Juan from the maintenance team. Maintenance requests are always answered with prompt action.

On the subject of location, Studio City can't be beaten. If you're in the film industry, you're 10-25 minutes away from virtually every studio and agency except Sony. There are tons of grocery stores and restaurants within a few blocks, and Beeman Park is a short walk away, which is great for families with kids or people who want a morning jog.

While the apartments are clean and well-maintained, we've had issues with pipes bursting in the laundry room and flooding our apartment. Once we were required to vacate for several days, and management tried to put us in the cheapest hotel possible, which was unacceptable. Eventually they came around, but we had to fight for something suitable.

I've been here for 2.5 yrs.centrally located close to 3 fwys to navigate the San Fernando Valley. Experienced management goes a long way when it comes to any issue. Our manager Kalissa follows through on every matter/complaint until the problem is resolved. Always clean & quiet neighbors. Pleasant experience so far.

This place is fantastic! Very quiet and the neighborhood is top notch! Also, the apartment manager, Kalissa, is always available and always has a warm smile!

Great location, and well-maintained. Good people live in the building, maintenance does an excellent jog and Kalissa the building manager is approachable, friendly and helpful. Apartments are warm and inviting, with good sunlight and views.

Have been staying here for over 2 years now and I’m happy to say I’m friends with a handful of my neighbors that are artsy, responsible and respectful! Thank goodness! The walls could be a bit thicker and little critiques here and there but for the great neighborhood, right off the highway, great use of space and a property manager like Kalissa that is friendly and responds to issues quickly, well I’d say I lucked out with my experience here!
