Great staff, great programs, great food, great energy. But, it's not the typical outward energy that relies on will power and senses. Instead, the experience is more an inner one. There's still beauty, good places to hike, and the fantastic tastes of the vegetarian meals. And quiet, peaceful energy, to expand my consciousness, to renew and invigorate.

We had serene personal Retreat at the Expanding Light. Staff is wonderful, healthy delicious meals served & most of all meditation was the best part to relax & enjoy. Ananda yoga spiritual teachers inspire with yoga & meditation practice to all the members who are interested to attend.

This is one of the Spiritual Centers of the earth. 50 years of intense spiritual practices have saturated the land with holy vibrations. This is the pace to go to for training in meditation, yoga and Spirituality. Come for instruction or come for a personal retreat, just come to feel how blissful your life might be.

It's beautiful, everyone is so friendly and they know how to help you with your spiritual growth. It's also just a nice place to visit for the day, they have the market, a playground, a little thrift shop and other boutiques. Also the Crystal Hermitage is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend if you want a peaceful experience.

This is my favorite Spiritual retreat facility in California. The classes cover everything that i am interested in and much more. The staff is super friendly and helpful. All meals are vegetarian but include the stuff that i like. Highly recommend giving them a try.

I have stayed in every accommodation offered at the retreat: nice rooms, dorm style, cabins, and camping - all are great. 3 vegetarian (or other restricted diets) a day. Universal, spiritual atomosphere, respectful of your individual path. Whether you come for a weekend to de-stress, a week, or a longer certification program for Ananda Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, or Meditation, you will not be diasappointed in the high quality programs and staff, deep calmness and kindness, and functional inspiration you can incorporate into your daily life. I have been visiting regularly for over 30 years, no matter where i have lived, and plan to continue!
