The Federal Bar, North Hollywood CA

This was my first time visiting and I really enjoyed the vibe. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. And on this evening when we visited there was a live comedy show. I dined in with my fiancee. We shared the buffalo style cauliflower as a starter, while I had their short rib, and my fiancee had the lamb chops. The dishes were alright. I really liked my short rib, however the lamb chops were a bit smaller than my fiancee was expecting and she felt they lacked some seasoning. Overall the service was nice, our plates were served promptly and hot and we had a pleasant evening.

Service was excellent here! And the food was great, we tried many appetizers and I'm on a special diet but was able to order their salmon salad which was perfectly cooked and delicious!

Went on my birthday with gf, got seated and waited for a menu that didn’t come. Waitress and bartender chatting it up, got up and left unfortunately after a friend recommended.

Could not have been any more underwhelmed. Food and service were both big misses and it was way overpriced for the quality. I literally have nothing good to say except for the location/decor.

Strike 1 - We walked in on a Friday and asked for a booth. We were told they were reserved for reservations. We witnessed other people walk in and ask for a booth and sat down no problem.

Strike 2 - It took them about 15 minutes to greet us when they had many open tables. Then it took another 20 minutes to get beer and sodas for a 4-person table. When the beer arrived, it was warm.

Strike 3 - We ordered appetizers and they came out at the same time as our meals. The food was bland. I got an impossible burger and the patty was burnt.

Nice place. Bar food is actually pretty good. Cocktails is lacking in that place I would go with their beer selection. Also blasting fist pumping music on a Monday night is unsettling. It actually made me leave and not stay longer for drinks. I don't get why they chose that type of music for that type of a bar and also on a Monday.

Been here a few times and I'm never disappointed. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. Most recently we had the breakfast nachos and the tater tots with cheese and bacon (there were a couple topping options for the tater tots). They also offer a bottomless mimosa brunch on the weekend.

Lived in the neighborhood for over two years. First time that I have been able to enjoy this amazing spot. Had a nice lunch on the outside patio, food was amazing, service was great oh, and very appreciative staff! A definite must see in the evening nightlife! I will be back!

Drinks very pricey and wasn't blown away by them. But the milieu and crowd were great there on a music gig showcase night! Highly recommend for that!

Delicious food, nice environment, chill lounge vibes. Support local your not gonna find food anywhere in the city this good late at nite. Kitchen closes at 11.

This Establishment is cool! Also, the Only bar really if visiting North Hollywood, California. It's a little "Upscale" so its pricey. But, they have a Upstairs club that gets jumping! And live music. Lots of pretty Women! Its fun times.

Can't wait to go back. Their outdoor set up is as nice as I have seen during the pandemic, and their indoor bar area is even better. The food is really the reason to go though, you can tell they took their time creating a really fun and eclectic menu.

I've been a regular and I'm so angry that my order was missing my sauce yet again. I understand it may be insignificant for some, but I am paying customer and i would gladly PAY EXTRA for the sauce. This is the 3rd time and today my drink was forgotten too.such a shame that I even tip for not so good service),:

The brunch menu didn’t look appetizing at all. I did like the outdoor seating and our server was fresh back to work and we had a large group but no one was assisting her. We made a reservation in advance you’d think she would have more help. On IG it mentions bottomless mimosas and brunch for $25 but they were serving cider with juice, that’s not a mimosa. And collectively as a group major issue we wanted champagne. Our server said they only had 3 bottles remaining. At that point management should have gone to the grocery store and buy champagne! Bottomless cider is going to have people running for the toilet, bad decision. It’ll be a while before I return, hopefully they can get there menu and management worked out. On the upside I liked my burger, the fries as served came with heavy garlic (gross) and
parmesan cheese, that info isn’t on the menu.

It was fun going back to the Federal after such a long time. Great service and good drinks. What more can one ask for. I especially like the Ace of Spades.

The burger here, omg, hands down one of the best I have ever had. I have lived in many different states across the US and I have been out to many restaurants in my day. I would have to say this place is #1 in the best burger I have ever had. It was so good, I felt like walking right up to the chef and telling him/her. It’s made with love, wow.

Such a great time. My waitress was top notch. Our beers came out perfect with the appetizer. Then she took our order. The timing, considering sitting outside, was just perfect. The classic burger is the greatest. I HIGHLY recommend The Federal!

Been coming here for a decade. They used to have awesome events upstairs before covid. But now they have outdoor patio seating and quite a bit of space too.

Foods always been good, I love the Mac N cheese. They also have some great drinks. I can't wait for things to open up and they start doing events again.

They used to have something going on every night!

Went here to hear my niece's sing with her band. Nice space. Even couches to sit, elevator if needed. Upstairs patio. Cool vibe.
