The Forum at Rancho San Antonio reviews
17My father-in-law was living in skilled nursing for around 7 years. Just a few months ago we were told he must move out of the Forum, not to another room but completely out. The reason? They were remodeling. I call that poor planning. So we moved him to another facility and, as expected, he could not adapt and died. It was so unkind of the Forum to treat him this way. We all know the saying ”you don’t transplant an old tree”. Sure, my father-in-law was old and would die eventually. No one at the Forum saw how hard this was on him. Shame on the Forum.
In almost nine years of being members of The Forum, we can't stay enough about how wise we were join. The location next to an open space preserve, the friendly folks, and the staff attention all make for a great choice.
Twenty four years of invigorating residency here at The Forum at Rancho San Antonio is my
claim to fame.
I have flourished in this caring environment. Family dynamics have changed with friendships
augmenting the loss.
Engagement in activities is key to my longevity
I have participated in all offered. Now, please excuse me, there are roses waiting to be picked.
The Forum is a very nice upscale retirement community adjacent to a regional park. The place looks great, being well built of quality construction and nice landscaping throughout. People are very friendly. There is a sense of community. The current Covid pandemic has been very trying for everyone, but we have gotten through it so far without a major outbreak of illness. Management here does a great job and is very responsive to people's needs. I like that this is a resident-owned facility, controlled by a resident board of directors. Here one has an independent life in one's own villa or condominium with a lot of freedom, with as much or as little community participation as one desires.
After you check in, you never need to check out! Independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing nestle together and collectively offer 20 (4 x 5) star living support. After 9 years, my wife and I have sampled all, but I still live in independent living. Best decision my wife and I ever made was the one to come to the Forum at Rancho San Antonio.
I have lived at the Forum over 16 years, during those years my husband was delighted with the architecture of the buildings and all the beautiful plants, trees, flowers and hearing the singing of all the birds. Also enjoy the deer, turkeys, rabbits, and every other animal passing through our place.
Am most grateful that in his last two years at Assisted living he was very happy to find the staff kind, patience, kind and helpful to all his needs.
As i was visiting him daily the staff at Wellness Center, Dinning Room, Meintanence, House keeping, Activities, and Front Desk were all keeping my unit comfortable and providing for all my needs.
Pauline Kubisova, greeted me every morning with a smile and wishing me a good and easy day.
My need to be with my husband during the Covid-19 closure was not easy, but Nancy Kao, also kindly recognized my need to be with my husband and permit me to be with him.
Am grateful to be surrounded by all the staff at the Forum.
When Jane and I moved into The Forum we knew no one here, but everyone was so welcoming we quickly felt right at home. Now the community here seems like the happy extended family I always wished I had—some brothers and sisters, lots of cousins, a few uncles and aunts—and of course many good friends!
I moved to The Forum 10 years ago. My kids said I was too young and active and should buy a condo. Boy were they wrong! The Forum has everything I could ask for and I couldn’t be happier that I made the move.
Since moving in 11 months ago we have come to appreciate the architectural design of the facility and the way it integrates into the natural setting of the campus. We really like the range of independent living options, from apartments to stand-alone villas with top flight health care a stone's throw away. Most of all, we appreciate the welcoming community here at The Forum. We've made a lot of new, interesting and community spirited friends.
Location! Location! Location! At the foot of the mountains and adjoining Rancho San Antonio Park Preserve - beautiful and peaceful. Very short walk to be among natures landscape where
birds and other wildlife abound. The community buildings are also beautifully landscaped. Most compelling, though, are the residents who are friendly, welcoming and offer their interests and talents to enrich the life of all residents. I moved here at the start of the pandemic and am truly amazed at the dedication of staff and management in guiding us through an incredibly challenging period. Their focus has always been on the health and well being of the residents. I visited three other retirement communities before choosing The Forum. After two years living here I couldn’t be happier with my choice!
We moved to the Forum a little over a year ago. The residence so friendly and made us feel right at home- asking us out to dinner. There are many interesting educational lectures, speakers, exhibits and plenty opportunity to volunteer in the community.
A huge plus for the Forum is the serene setting backed up against the Rancho San Antonia Park. Walking, biking, nature watching are part of the daily life available.
This is not your grandmother's Old People's Home! It is a CCRA with all levels of care, but it has the feel of a community of active seniors who own their homes and believe in self-governance by the residents themselves - not a far-away corporation. PLUS the food is excellent, the pool is refreshing, the Open Space Preserves has miles of trails, the programs are top rate - and you will not be a burden to your kids. What more can you ask for in your later years?
Our grandmother lived out her final years at the Forum and now our mother is thriving in one of the apartments. That fact alone says it all. Mom has given us the great gift of not having to worry about finding the right care for her in the future because everything she will need is at the Forum. And the Forum has given her the gift of a strong community she's enjoying - not to mention one that has kept her safe so far through Covid!
1. Beautiful facilities so close to Rancho San Antonio Park.
2. Caring and considerate staff.
3. The administration and staff are diligent about COVID precautions. Communication is transparent and frequent.
4. Have gotten to know a lot of wonderful and friendly residents since my five years at The Forum.
We are new to the Forum and have been very pleasantly surprised at the competence and helpfulness of the staff. During Covid lockdowns they have seamlessly delivered meals to the door. They have been amazing at responding immediately to our many maintenance requests (we had no hot water and it was difficult to solve the problem but they stuck with it and finally fixed it). In every interaction we've had with staff, they have been friendly and eager to help us. TheForum staff gets an A+.
This place is all smokes and mirrors. The management acts nice and then lie to you about the type of services they provide. My friend almost convinced me to move in but I have my sources and it’s not what it’s cut out to be. It’s a nice place but they don’t have proper guidelines or structure. It’s messy and unorganized. Please don’t send your loved ones here. Consider yourself warned.
I have lived at The Forum for seven years and have so enjoyed the friendships, the staff who seem like extended family, the services offered and the facilities available. Sometimes I feel like I am on an extended cruise!
