The Frida Cinema reviews
24 So awesome to know this non-profit, based in Santa Ana, with CoVID is still showing movies by drive-ins throughout Orange County. Saw their new schedule up today. Been to a few of these, it's a really great way to be around a lot of people, but safely in your own car. Great energy and a lot of fun AND MOVIE THEATER POPCORN! So many people thankful that they are still entertaining OC throughout the pandemic! They definitely follow the guidelines for CoVID.

My sister and I were very fond of movies. We went to this movie theater to watch our favorite film. The audio was audible, and the place was very appropriate. You can really have a comfortable seat and can focus on watching. I will surely be back at this place.
Like to spend my Saturday evenings here! Always clean and comfortable. Great staff and a selection of cool movies.
A nice place to see a flick. Theater was very comfortable and there is a bar/restaurant right there inside for you to enjoy! They also are conveniently located to other restaurants and the metro. What else do you need on a date night?
I want to thank the cinema so much for making my movie night a huge success. The whole movie experience was fun! The place was huge and soundproof! I also appreciated your ticket staff's knowledge and helpfulness in making my experience worthy!
Great place to see All Kind's of Movie's, past member then it closed. I like it when actors came in person to meet and greet. Q and A in the theater.
Seriously, one of the places that helps to keep me sane while living in OC. This independent cinema is totally unpretentious, and with a brilliant and curious selection of films. Movies at this theatre can skew towards horror at some times, but there are other types of films, both classic and modern, shown here. Definitely a gem.
What a gem in the city! Went here for the Grease Sing-A-long and was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was going to be a regular run down theatre but right a as I walked in I was taken by the vintage architecture as well as its grandness. So ornate and pretty.felt like I was a little back in time.
The last movie we watched here was last month. We always choose this cinema whenever we wanted to watch a movie. We loved the atmosphere here, and they are not too cold! Their reclining seats were very clean and comfortable. They also offer a snack corner to munch while watching the movie. We had their hot dog and popcorn, and it was the best!
The only theatre i go to for classic, arthouse and horror movies. Some of the best movie events i've been to and one of the greatest rocky horror shadowcasts around. Perfect place for any movie lover!
Great little old school cinema. Has a LOT of charm, but could use some modernization. This little gem is a non-profit that showcases indie, classic and first-run films.
GOOD TIME! Indeed, a great cinema house that caters to everything that I needed. They have different kinds of snacks to choose from, and the seats here are very comfortable. I really had a good time watching my long-awaited movie here, and I will surely come back here again and bring my loved ones for the next time. Strongly recommended!
Friday night Rocky Horror w/ KAOS performing live was great. Brought back great memories of going to the midnight shows at Balboa
I went there to see The Big Lebowski. The service was great, the theater was amazing! I love the vibe the theater gives off.
It's a cute and small, old school theater with friendly staff and plays old school and unique movies and only two theater rooms. However, they don't sell much in terms of food, and there is that odd smell when you walk in. It's not enough to deter you, but it's just there. No clue what it is.
The Frida Cinema is a great spot right in the heart of old town Santa Ana. Two theaters and a great selection of newer and classic film. The staff is friendly and their concessions counter has yummy popcorn and other snacks.
Small (only two theaters), home-y theater with a lot of character. Went to see the Violet Evergreen movie there. They put on a lot of cool movie events like live musical quartet for various things like anime, video games, etc. Would highly recommend checking it out.
A fantastic art house cinema. Operating as a nonprofit, and dedicated to provide a rich movie environment for the community.
We were intrigued as to the approach taken to the famous story of Anastasia. What was presented was a exuberant and highly entertaining take on the most famous child of the last Czar. The production was excellent resulting in brilliant sets that segued seamlessly from one location to the next. Colorful throughout, the players were marvelous with most engaging characters.
This independent movie theater has great vibes. The employees are all volunteers and love being there!
