15The grounds are stunning, an amazing facility open to the public for free (if you don't count 20 dollar parking.) I give it a low rating because the people working, specifically in the West Pavilion on 9/29, were rude, unhelpful, and ignorant. So much so that my group ceased the trip and left without completing the tour which was already being cut short with multiple floors of exhibits closed for renovations. The best staff greeted you at the tram.but don't expect help or basic instruction from anyone working there
Don’t miss out! This place is Amazing! $20 for parking. Free entry into museum. You park, then take a tram to the top. Everyone working there is so very nice and welcoming! The place is gorgeous! Not everything was open when I went, a good reason to go back! The gated is small, but has so much packed in. I’ll add photos of both the center and the garden. Be sure and make a free reservation online! Limited due to pandemic. Masks worn at all times. Don’t go if you don’t want to follow the rules. There is a lot of security. The security people were also very nice, but they have hard jobs. Lots of people were breaking the rules and getting called out. I appreciated the safe environment. The place is pristine and it takes a great team to keep it that way.
Great place for a day trip, grab some lunch on the grounds and take in some arts and culture. I'm no art aficionado, but the Van Gogh exhibit only had one of his paintings? I thoroughly enjoyed all the other paintings, and the little tram ride was a bonus.
Great place to spend the day. Only need to pay for parking. Amazing Gardens, restaurants and Museum. Amazing views of the city.
Over 500 years of art to take in divided among the various buildings. Food and beverages are a bit pricy, but a tradeoff for free entry.
All I have to say is, I always love coming here!
I use to come here everytime before I left to college
Till this day, I still love coming here
It was the first time for my boyfriend and he even loved it!
I definitely will be coming out here more often now
Definitely always a breath taking place
Beautiful museum showcasing classic artists and their craft. Let's also mention the botanical garden with a variety of flora and spectacular views! Don't miss Van Gogh's Irises. It is located in a room all by itself for viewing. From my experience in Chicago, these rooms fill up quickly because of the iconic post impressionist artists.
Great museum, great paintings and exhibitions. There's a lot of green areas too and people can have picnics in there. I really liked visiting this place, it also has great views.
The 1st stop on my #solotravel to California.
I was there a good 3 hours, the museum has plenty of places to sit, food and drinks that you can purchase and photo ops around every corner.
Awesome views, architecture and exhibitions. Come and spend the day. The food served here is not bad at all! Check the weather sice part of the facilities are outdoors.
Photo Flux exhibit was amazing. The Getty experience is unique and is worth seeing at least once.
I cannot believe this place is free. It is beautifully located and the collection is amazing. I could easily spend a whole day here. Do the museum staff a favor and don't touch things and give a little space to the artwork. I cannot count how many times I heard that throughout my visit.
Great visit
Beautiful place. Very organized. Gardens are lovey. Exhibits fascinating. Great museum to take anyone.
The best and largest museum in Los Angeles, its works span several eras in history, all in a beautiful building elaborated very well architecturally.
Service dogs allowed and not crowded at all. This place is lovely.saw a marriage proposal.great date spot.
