The Goddard School of Rocklin

The school feels very much like a family. The teachers are great, the owners are great, the school is clean, and the atmosphere is loving. We’ve been coming here since our daughter was 11 months old. We feel very lucky to have found Goddard and had this as the environment our daughter got to grow up and learn in.

Excellent school! It’s a bit of a trek for us (15-20min) but well worth it. Kind, caring, and competent teachers. Daily updates of activities. Excellent and responsive staff via phone, app and email. Various seasonal family activities help to develop a great sense of community. Very engaged owners as well who truly work hard to make this a center of excellence!

We needed to transfer our child to a another child care facility secondary to hours of operation and location, but saw after two months that we missed the community social engagement and organized curriculum that this facility has given. We transferred our child back and it is like she never left…the teachers, students, and staff have welcomed us back with open arms!

My daughter was at home for couple of months so I was worried about her adjustment as she had difficulty in adjustment to another preschool before. But she did great here. She always says she had fun at school. She talks about her teacher ms Alicia. We love to see her fun pictures while at school. School owner, director and everyone here are so friendly and welcoming that gives us good vibe to be here. I would recommend everyone who has doubt where to send there child.

We’ve had our girls in Goddard Rocklin from infants through pre-school. Our pre-schooler just started TK and she is so advanced compared to her peers. Our experience with the teachers has been outstanding! During the past 3 years we have seen minimal staff turnover which I hear from friends with kids in other daycares as a constant struggle. From the beginning we’ve felt comfortable with our kids going here. It was especially worrying when starting in infants, but Laura and the team took care of our baby girl like family. The school also does an excellent job of putting on family activities throughout the year. Is the school expensive, yeah, but remember, you get what you pay for, excellent staff, great curriculum, and family oriented environment for your kids.

My 3.5 year old son has attended preschool at Goddard Preschool in Rocklin since August 22 (same affiliated family that owns Goddard Preschool in Roseville, but this was the Rocklin location).

Two weeks ago (Feb 23), he told us that one of the TEACHERS in his Preschool 2 class hit him in the face - upon asking SEVERAL more questions about this, it sounds like several of the other 3-4 year old children were there (he was able to tell me by name who was there and witnessed it, where it happened on his face (slapped), where it happened in the room, etc. He is very clear on the details). The director of this preschool admitted to more than one family that the teacher has been having panic attacks in the classroom due to the behavior of the children (3-4 year olds).

I immediately disenrolled him in the preschool, filed reports with all the appropriate parties, but understand that the school has done absolutely nothing about this incident and is still employing the teacher.

As a mother looking at preschools for my child, I would want to know this information. As a mother of a preschooler AT this school, if my child was potentially a witness to this and other behaviors in the classroom, I would want to know.

Please please talk to your children from a VERY young age about what touches are ok and what touches are NOT OK. Make sure they know the difference and make sure you are TALKING to your children every single day. If I didn't ask so many questions and if my son wasn't so verbal, I may not have ever known this happened.

We are at a new preschool now, and my 3 year old will move on from this without remembering it (hopefully), but as a mother - who has no choice but to trust other adults to care for her baby both physically and emotionally, I will never forget this happened.

I hope this never happens to another child.

Goddard of Rocklin is a one of a kind place. From our first interaction with Ash and Millie, they’ve inspired trust and they have been sensational every step of the way. They focus on learning through play and treat our daughter like one of their own. She loves going to spend the day with her teachers and classmates! She lights up especially when she sees Ms Tommi, Ms Kristine, and Ms Naeema.
