The Grill on the Alley reviews
15Late lunch, wonderful experience. Oysters, pot pie and salmon concluded with espresso martinis, all 5*
Classic Steakhouse vibe with some local favorites on the menu. The crowd seems to be more locals than tourists.
Steak house speciality
High prices for quality
They push tip from 20% to 30% on the check system, we all can think about it
The crab cake was delicious, the chicken pot pie was huge and very good, the brownie pie was good as well (a little bit too sweet). But the service was just okay. Asked twice for some water, the server barely talked to me and didn’t listen what I wanted for my cocktail. The host was amazing though!
Great restaurant- my favorite in Beverly Hills - awesome place, food & staff.
Chicken pot pie - be hungry!
Waiter asked if we wanted to start with drinks, we said no just water. He asked sparkling or flat? We said flat. You know, WATER.like, water from the sink. Filtered I guess, but just water. We didn’t order anything fancy.
The food was okay, we just got burgers because it was a later lunch. Took a while to come out, they were favoring the older tables that looked like they have more money, of course!
The reason I kept mentioning water — We get the bill and he charged EIGHTEEN DOLLARS for that water. He did NOT tell us that up front and of course we just assumed water was water. What a scam! They kept repeating to us “this is a steakhouse” as they were seating us, I guess so they can get away with stuff like this. Also, one of our glasses the water was served in was CHIPPED on the rim. Broken!
Will NEVER be back!
Great food, great service, great atmosphere
Make sure you get a good table.some are in the way of foot traffic or too close to the kitchen. NY steak was amazing as was the crab cakes!
Delicious eaten. Good service from a friendly waitress. Definitely one of the better dining experiences in the last 4 weeks in the US. The restaurant is somewhat hidden, but well worth it.
By chance we stopped in on the last day of our vacation in Beverly Hills. The food was outstanding, portions were great, the bread was warm and so good. We had Elia as our server and he was phenomenal. He was exceptional at every part of our visit and really got to know us, and us him. The food was outstanding and portions were great. This was the perfect ending to our stay in California. We will definitely be back.
Gold standards across the board.
Having a chance to taste the BossHog Rye Bourbon was an absolute treat. Staff was exceptional. Food and dessert were literally perfect.
We will become regulars quickly.
Crowded and noisy. I am not much of a meat eater and I understand how good the beef is here. I ordered the Salmon with Mushrooms. It was ok. It was a touch on the dry side. It could have used more spice, butter and lemon.
Frankly.well
very pleasant service, American style but totally Swiss slow.
Side dishes, no originality, good, nothing more.
Take a picture of your blue card, then it will be green.
Loved the food, drinks, both and our food & beverage server. Wish I knew his name. He was wonderful. Introduce me to great whale gin.
Thank you!
Random choice my husband made. Had never visited before.
We live in Washington DC.

We came here after getting extreme rudeness from the hostess at nearby Cecconi's. They were extremely nice and helped us with our elderly guests with limited mobility. Friendly and accommodating. Excellent food and "mostly" great service (server forgot to bring several items!). But great atmosphere, especially after the peak time quieted down.
As you step in, you realize that was not a door but a portal to New York. Amazing food, great service. We had ceasar salad, lamb chops and an amazing silky buttery key lime pie.
