The Habit Burger Grill, Carlsbad CA

Great burgers and sides. Onion rings, fried green beans, sweet potato fries and regular fries are all delicious.
Excellent burgers with ingredients that taste amazing together.
Kids meals are solid too.

Good every single time. This place was almost near capacity, but wasn’t very loud. You’ll often get a bunch of e-biker kids hanging out, but they seem respectful. Staff are friendly and helpful. The food is a little expensive, but you definitely receive the best quality.

Tables needed to be cleaned & floor after some messy kids. Even after we left the floor was still wet. Busy time of evening 630pm

I came here for the burger and ended up getting the crispy chicken sandwhich. Best decision I ever made. I keep coming back for it!

Ordered through door dash for delivery. They didn't include the condiments I requested, swamped the burger in ketchup and mustard and left the burger raw. Didn't have time to deal with it as we were leaving to head to the airport. Definitely do not recommend.

My son rode his bike after work to get dinner for himself and once he arrived home he realized he didn’t get what he ordered. It was then too late for him to ride back as it was already dark. There is no way to contact a store or store manager and their customer service team is junk. They too are frustrated that you can’t call the store to resolve your problem. Why is that?
The majority of the time their food is good. This review is about the frustration of not being able to contact the store.

It's like a war zone. Kids on ebikes with guns blasting away at the tables and chasing everyone away.

I love this particular Habit, they're consistently fantastic, the service and the staff are always upbeat and motivated! When I go to others I'm always upset

Horrible experience. Treated like second class citizens because we didn't have masks while the cashier had his mask way below his nose and took his mask off to yell at some kids who entered the store without masks on whole everyone is sitting around with no masks on.

Food was incredible terrible. My husband used to work at the Habit and he Is mindboggled and disgusted on how they made our burgers. In his opinion they most likely used old buns, old patties and a lot more I dont want to say. He knows the Habit very well and was hesitant on ordering from there but I convinced him because I really enjoy the food.until now. I'm literally never going back because of this experience and confirmation of what he told me. Also my husband's burger bun was soggy to the point of falling apart. It literally looked like it was dropped in water. I'm very disappointed that I played 30$ and I had to throw away my burger. I literally made a Top Roman and it was better. I really just want my money back. We are poor and don't have much and we just wanted to eat out for once.either way, get yourself together Habit in La Costa.

Really looking forward to a filling burger. Has to wait 25 mins not a word from staff saying it would be a while. Also, upon ordering. I was told I could NOT purchase a drink with the meal plan. I had to pay separately for 1 drink. I saw no other patrons be told that. One patron even got a refund cuz he wasn't told it was going to be 30 to 45 mins. He got the refund and his order was ready and he he was able to take his food too. Hmmm. Very disappointed in how this establiment was run.

We enjoyed a nice Easter dinner grab and go style. Very friendly service and speedy fulfillment of order. The line moved fast and the food was excellent, just as ordered. Highly recommended

They totally messed up my order and forgot salad dressing - we could not eat!
I tried to call the restaurant and no one picked up!
Very sad with this meal and service! I sure would have communicated directly for retraining or improvement but no one to discuss with!
Lessons learned

I like (d) the habit but be aware at busy time (Friday night) it can take some time to get your order. We waited 29 minutes for burnt hamburgers.

A bit deceptive because there are so many Uber eats etc pickups you can’t see. Not sure how orders are processed but felt like inperson orders were secondary. Cheers

40 minute ticket times. And they just keep lying to you. Oh yeah that's coming up shortly, it's coming up shortly, your order is coming up shortly. 40 minutes later...

Burgers at this spot - yummy. The service here is friendly. The place has an awesome atmosphere. Menu is like a cafe in Boston I liked.

Habit is a great place to get a wonderful variety of burgers, salads, fries and shakes. They are delicious and employees are always friendly.
