Old School Venue. Lots of history
. When back-of-house gets cookin', kitchen staff bakes like no other! Bread pudding on point

If you don’t like good service and you like being spoken down to then this is the hotel for you. Hollywood is dirty for one and two the only good staff at this hotel are the housekeepers. The servers by the pool are snobby and rude, everyone except for one sweetheart at the front desk were nice. The hotel is full of weirdos on drugs. One guy was tripping out at the pool and another was doing gosh knows what to some girl while my kids and others were swimming around, but let’s keep serving them booze. I asked about happy hour and the waiters acted like I’m cheap even though I spent over $300 at the pool today…. Could not be bothered with helping a guest at all. Go take some courses in customer service. Oh also what is funny is they auto charge you 18% service fee while they’re giving 5% service.
If you want a good experience go to a fairmont. You pay the same price to be treated well! We are easy going travellers too, just like politeness and being treated well during our stay, Roosevelt could not deliver! And it stinks in the halls, I had to breathe out of my mouth every time I walked to my room. If people are writing good reviews about this place they haven’t stayed at higher than a three star, because that’s what this hotel is at best. I would not send anyone I like here to this hotel, maybe not even those I dislike because then they’d torture me for how awful it was.

Art deco style old Hollywood vibe hotel. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Nice room. Love pool area with delicious cafe.

Big fan of the Roosevelt. Great staff, overall location, feels iconic and the pool is fire.

A recommended holiday atmosphere. I am sure you will enjoy it even without leaving the hotel. Even the old Hollywood spirit pervading the walls is enough.

Only went there for the bar and turned out to be a very lively place to go especially the Spare Room. Nice cocktail menu. Very nice atmosphere. Great location if you want to move on from there.

Five star of course! What else can you give for the bed that provides a good night's sleep?
Very helpful stuff.

My wife and I photographed a wedding here recently and have nothing but positive things to say about the space. It photographs beautifully with a combination of natural and soft artificial light that lends itself to a really nice mood and ambiance.

I opened a tab at the bar by the pool, and they lost my debit card. They offered me a drink, but I think the hassle of losing someone's card is worth more than a pity shot of tequila. I would have liked it if they could have comped a room or something.

Now I'm waiting 5 days for my debit card to show up, and it's inconveniencing me a lot. So I came away with a very negative customer service experience.

Dear William,

We apologize again for losing your debit card, and we can certainly understand your frustration at this inconvenience. We can see that a comped beverage was not sufficient given the hassle you went through, and we know we can do better next time.

Kindy,
The Hollywood Roosevelt

Why don't you guys just do better right now instead of next time? It's a hassle I'm still going through, and this sounds a lot like an empty promise! I bet if someone loses their debit card tonight, your staff is going to offer them free food or a drink.

I think I deserve a comped room, considering you're a hotel!

Can't have a better time in Hollywood than The Roosevelt. Sometimes mellow, sometimes wild a.f, ALWAYS fun times.

Amazing customer service, fantastic, clean rooms, awesome bars and restaurants. Simply. The. Best.

There is a reason why this pool is photographed so much… its heaven for adults. The Vibe is fantastic. Great food.
Service is good throughout. Rooms are trendy and all you need. Pillows could be better. We couldnt get TV to stream despite all the instructions (cable was fine (who needs it on holidays anyway). Location was spot-on for bus tours/ Universal/ observatory and Walk of Fame is literally on doorstep. Felt safe as a mum with older child to walk around into evening. Overall highly recommend staying here to sample a piece of Hollywood history at its finest!

Such a great hotel and location especially for families that want to be close to activities for the kids. I would prefer to have full showers without the bathtubs and would recommend the hotel convert 50% of the rooms to be like this so guests can choose. Service was excellent. Felt like a boutique hotel.

Staff very unhelpful except for Joseph at the main desk. Wouldn’t even answer a query we had we were shot down as soon as we asked a question. Rooms were a letdown for the price we expected a lot more for the money. Shame as it was our first time staying in Hollywood definitely won’t be back at this hotel.

I can't comment too much on a location as I went to an event there. But the ballroom is gorgeous. Staff in the hotel was pleasant and the valet personnel was great! I would definitely recommend this experience to others.

INCREDIBLE hotel! We stayed at the Hollywood Roosevelt for 3 days as the start of a 10 day vacation, and we couldn't have been happier with our stay and choice of hotel.

This hotel is GORGEOUS! It's old Hollywood glamour. The main lobby area is large and open with big arches and dramatic lighting. There's a bar in the main lobby area, with plenty of seating, a fireplace, and a piano.

We were in a King Studio, which was HUGE for a hotel room. It had a full bath, which was also huge for a hotel bathrroom, and also a half bath right by the entrance. They also provide slippers and robes. The bed was comfortable enough, though I've had more comfortable hotel beds.

The hotel has such an interesting history. One day after we came back from the Hollywood Museum (HIGHLY recommended, and a short walk from the hotel, totally worth the $15 entrance fee), we asked one of the door/bellmen to take a photo of us, and he ended up taking us on a little photo shoot around the main level and after we were done, he explained why he had us pose in each place he had us pose (all of which had to do with old Hollywood). We loved that and thought he went above and beyond for us. In fact, the morning we were checking out, we saw him (which was the only time we saw him again after he took the photos of us), and he opened the doors to the Blossom Ballroom to let us have a peek. The Blossom Ballroom was the venue for the very first Academy Awards, which only lasted 15 minutes, because there were only 3 cagtegories - Best Actor, Actress, and Picture. We enjoyed seeing the inside of the ballroom.

The Mezannine level has a bar called The Spare Room. It's very vintage and has 2 vintage bowling lanes that can actually be used. They also have other vintage games you can play, though we were visiting with a friend, so we didn't play any, but you should check it out. It has a very cool vibe, and our server, Jenna, was AWESOME.

We had breakfast each day we were there in the restaurant 25 Degrees, and it was very good. This was the only dining we did on site, so I don't know how the other dining options rate.

We had driven over, so we used valet for our car. Retrieving our car from the valet couldn't have been easier. On the card they give you, there's a QR code, and you scan that and it sends a text to request your car. You can get a response that tells you how long it will be and when to head down to retrieve your car. SO easy!

I cannot recommend this hotel enough! Everything from the room, to the food, to the ambiance, to the service was impeccable! The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Stay at this hotel if you're going to Hollywood/Los Angeles. You won't regret it!

I didn't stay as a guest so I have no idea what the rooms are like, but the decor of the lobby and ballrooms is very "vintage" old school classic Hollywood. The film festival was great but food & drinks are pricey at this hotel

Rooms need to be upgraded for the price. Good location for Chinese Theater - but way too many homeless people on the walk of fame! Destroys the ambiance of this hotel, suggest you contact your mayor or clean up your streets— disgusting! The pool staff need to be more on top of their game too much chatting amongst themselves. I had to go to the bar to order my drinks and food several times, the gratuity is in the bill so felt like the staff didn’t have to work to earn their tips.
