The Hostel California, THC

This was the first hostel I stayed in in the USA and I couldn't have found a better place! Andy built a very special place that has an energy that makes it unique in the world. I was able to meet so many wonderful people with super interesting stories that made me admire them, completely changing my point of view about the world.the hostel is filled with ever-changing art everywhere you look making it a living museum. Thanks for everything Andy, I really felt at home and I look forward to returning in the future!

I had a good time at Andy's Hostel and I highly recommend it! Good price, location and excellent atmosphere! Full of international travelers with whom to learn something about travel or about San Diego itself.

I have had one of the best experiences of my life at the Hostel California, it is like living with a family, Andy is an incredible host, always attentive to the needs of the hostel in general! The energy that the hostel transmits is very sincere and fun. It is very close to all the beginner attractions of San Diego and next to Balboa Park.just 10 minutes from the nearest beach. The truth is that I highly recommend this place.

I can’t believe there are some people commenting about not being responded on instagram, I thought it was just me. The owner of the hostel is a jerk, he discriminates and chooses who comes and doesn’t come to the hostel so if you don’t look the part like a white hippy traveler str8 they most likely reject you, they lie and tell you there isn’t any space available? Really even a week or two weeks advance? They either ignore you or tell you “ they’re full”. Honestly this place needs to close down and be investigated this isn’t a professional hostel establishment and should be avoided at all costs. If you’re lucky you’ll get a spot in a dirty couch or outside in a bed full and they don’t care if it rains and you get wet either

I loved my stay in San Diego. The hostel is in an incredible area, the people are super friendly and the hostel is welcoming. I'll be back next year for sure!

I can absolutely recommend THC! The owner and the other guests were very cool so you definitely have fun here. The kitchen is well equipped and clean. The location is also really good. You can either go to the nearby bus stops or walk to Balboa Park, for example.

I was a little afraid of arriving in San Diego without knowing the city or anyone, but choosing the THC hostel made my stay here incredible. It's a perfect place to meet people, on the second day I arrived I went out with people I met at the hostel to visit Balboa Park, and I was always able to do different things over the two weeks I was here. Aside from the fact that people are from many parts of the world and can do a lot of cultural exchange, the hostel is very well located, which makes it very easy to go out for a stroll. I felt really at home, and the host is really nice too. I highly recommend it, if I could I would stay longer and I definitely intend to return here at some other time in the future!

The Hostel is good! Relaxed, good facility. Good vibes! The people who arrive are excellent! Personally, when I arrive in San Diego it is always my option!

Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Chile, Moldova! And we don't know who will arrive tomorrow. There are always new surprises.amazing people

The best hostel I've ever been in! Super lovely people, large kitchen, whirlpool and good connections to public transport.
Really highly recommended and would come there again and again!
