The Huntley Hotel Santa Monica Beach reviews
12Comfortable rooms with very nice view. Very clean hotel. The big plus was the Nespresso machine in the room which allowed us not to crave anymore for the coffee (it was unthinkable that in USA espresso coffee is so hard to get)
Great ambiance and superb service. We will definitely tell others. They made our anniversary so special.
This hotel has all of the amenities I require. From the room to the accommodations, they never fail to meet my high expectations.
Bad service, rude staff, so expensive parking (55$ daily), hotem amenity fee (25$ daily). I never back to the hotel
This is simply not a 4 star hotel, even with the location factored in. You’re essentially paying $500 for a Holiday Inn Express room.
Some of the issues:
Room was really dusty — woke up with allergies, which is rare for me.
Large construction noise starting early in the morning, made it impossible to work en-suite.
Lights in the room would start strobing when dimmed for reading.
The hallways felt warm and damp.
Windows were extremely dirty
Desk chair was extremely cheap and uncomfortable.
We paid a bit extra for a exclusive room and loved everything abt it. Light in the room was cool not to warm and had a good view. Only problem was the Valet parking, wish we could of just parked instead of having someone take our car and take minutes to bring it out. Comfy beds too after coming back from universal felt amazing relaxing on them
Took a friend to lunch at the penthouse. Strikingly beautiful view. Prices are sky high for the sky high view.
Awesome rooms. The only fridge in the room is filled with stuff you have to pay for. I had something that went bad because I had no where to store it. There was only 1 coffee mug.
Nice hotel but rude and unhelpful staff, too bad. And there is a $25 per night charge as resort fee, that’s a first! So didn’t meet the expectations in overall.
This Hotel has not had a functioning Television for days. They can’t even tell when it is going to be fixed!
You have to leave this Hotel to watch TV!
Beware if you are expecting to watch any sport or news event!
I visited the Penthouse restaurant however I didn't lodge at the hotel. The ambiance, the views, the food (delicious), the restrooms (can make or break my review), the service, and the HUGE portion sizes all deserve an excellent rating. The hotel lobby was very chic and cozy, and I suggested to my family we stay there next time. I am big on food taste as well as customer service. A great 60th birthday stop while visiting California.
One of two lifts broken. Social distancing not enforced, creating a bit of a nerve racking environment. Some people weren't wearing masks, including a brief moment with one of the staff in the service lift. The room was good - decent sized and clean with new finishings. Not sure why the room isn't facing the water, but there was some view if you looked right (we had panoramic room). Generally the place punches at its weight but could be much better. Location is great though.
