Place I go for sushi and the place i bring anyone not from the area to show them good San Diego sushi. Always fresh and never hidden behind a bunch of sauce or deep frying

Delightful place to hangout with lots of variety of options. Great service and friendly atmosphere. No bad choice on the menu. Very accommodating for diet restrictions.

Best burger and best sushi I've had in quite some time. The caterpillar and the lemon basil salmon roll were so tasty! They actually prepared the burger medium like we asked. The bun was scrumptious and the locally sourced tomato on the burger really made it incredible.

The name says it all! This is, The Joint to go-to for an excellent breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner! Chill vibes, friendly staff, exceptional customer service, awesome atmosphere, and the food! Oh my goodness the food is just phenomenal! So excited for them to open their sister joint, The Bowl! Great place to catch the game on large flat screens with a crisp view. I had the French toast and a bloody Maria! Absolutely fantastic! The Maria was perfectly spiced and the French toast was laoded with layers of delicious flavors! This place is a must whether you're a local or just visiting.

Exceptional service and food. I had the Gaijin breakfast. The bacon was great. Ordered the brioche toast baste or waitresses recommendations. Crisp, buttery, soft and sweet all in one bite! My wife had the French toast stack. I ending up having a few bites is was so good and the berries were very fresh too. We split the potato croquettes but we had way to much food for 2 people. I definitely recommend this place. My cousin recommended it to us too!

The food was great. We tried different rolls and they were all pretty good. We also caught a $5 beer special which was pretty sweet!

I whipped out my clam and everyone caught a whiff. Seeing the satisfied smiles on every customer’s face, I raced down to the pier and tenderly embraced Michael Phelps’ bare body with my own. We fell off and sunk to the depths in each other’s arms. Never been so turned on in my whole life! ‍️

40th bday blues. Great looking food with some not great vibes. People there are probably beyond tired or something (look it sucks out there right now). Either way, we felt it. I rarely write reviews but just had a really bad experience. We made a reservation for my brother's 40th birthday. We reserved outside since we're trying to balance a good time COVID risk with upcoming, hard to rebook international flights. In order to reserve we had to pay a $45 fee.

When we arrived we waited nearly 10 minutes to check in - not fun but it happens (there was one couple in front of us, I kid you not haha). Problem really started when they tried to seat the three of us at a standard 18"x24" table for two. There were multiple two top tables open and we asked if we could move one to combine them. One was even in the back corner on its own. They refused and told me "we've sat these as three without people complaining. " That's kinda a low bar if you ask me haha, akin to what must be the customer service goals when increasingly shrinking economy seats on flights "well, people deal with it, don't they? " We saw two guests at every other two top and looking at all the long, multiple plates per course I can't imagine fitting more on the table.

They said the only other option was indoors. I get that restaurants are struggling and trying to make things work but there were simple solutions that wouldn't have affected other customers that weren't even entertained. The feeling was they were just busy and didn't want to deal with us. They didn't have to try with a line out the door, right?

They did refund the $45 fee, but man, to have paid it on a site like Tock, a website I know for a disproportionate level of expensive, michelin star restaurants, I expected something truly more pleasant surprise for my brother haha. What a hard damper on our bday plans.

I used to love coming here. I actually had my first date with my now-husband here in 2013. Now that we live out of state, we've come back almost annually as a sort of tradition but we've noticed that everytime we visit service is slower, the food is more expensive, and the portions are smaller. I will say their food is always excellent and very fresh. I just wish that if they were trying to go for a "fine dining" experience with small, expensive plates the rest of experience followed suit, from service to ambiance.

Service was great! Staff was super friendly and they went out of their way to find the last bottle of the beer I wanted. Will definitely be back to try more of their Belgian Sour beers.

Called in to place a pickup order 40 minutes before this place closes. Girl who answered the phone on 6/26 couldn’t have been more rude in telling me they were no longer doing pickup orders for the night. Didn’t even ask how simple the order was? Take your business to a place in ocean beach that actually wants it. Very disappointing and no longer my sushi spot. Cheers.
